I do not expect it to be the Lakers. It makes zero sense, based on everything we know about Kawhi.
But, if it is, it still doesn't change the trajectory of the Pelicans and the fact that we are still the team best positioned to win a title in 2024-2028.

Sure, the details might take a day to finalize, but they don't really have to be negotiated. The Lakers are going to do whatever Kawhi wants, because otherwise he might go elsewhere.
