quote:DLo would have to agree to that though. If the Warriors try to send him somewhere he does not want to go, then he could just say he does not want to sign the agreed upon contract on July 6. If Stein is correct, this proposed trade makes even less sense.
stein is reporting they only traded for russell so they'd get something for durant, and are now trying to trade him. MIN may get back in the game

Minny had been trying hard to get Russell but couldn’t clear the cap space.
He had a lot of interest in going there IIRC.

So, the mercenary who walks in the door after they won a title gets fewer cheers than the guy who won a title for them? Knock me over with a fricking feather.

I'd imagine he was a lot lower than 2nd

If the emotional lesbian wanted to be loved, he could have stayed in OKC.
Walking into an established title team, even as a superstar, means you are going to be down the totem pole compared to the guys who have been there.

I don't venture to the MSB regularly so please forgive my ignorance, does this Mr Perfect poster actually have insight/sauces with the Lakers or is he just full of shite? He's talking like Kawhi to LAL is a essentially a done deal.

He’s full of shite.
He claims to be a Laker insider but a lot of what he says appears to be wishcasting.

Seth Curry to the Mavs. Lakers getting nervous

Even if they do get Kawhi at this point, they will be signing G Leaguers or people who would otherwise be in the Chinese league.

Thanks... good to hear.
In other news another potential Lakers target is off the boards in Seth Curry, he's headed to Dallas.

Only decent shooter that’s left is Danny green

Let's be fair though, it won't really matter.
That Miami team was super thin just like it year 1 and they went to the Finals.
They added their depth for a run in years 2 and 3.
Of course the difference is that Lebron is 35 and has played a lot of minutes, AD is extremely fragile, and Kawhi prefers that load management life.

Miami didn’t play in the Western Conference.
48 games ties you for the 8th seed here.

AND they're playing in the West where you can be a solid team and still miss the playoffs.

And that Miami team had some vets who were chasing rings. Wasn’t a bunch of d leaguers

Seth Curry gets 4-years, $32M from the Mavs.

I think you're going to be surprised how easy it is to fill out the roster with decent players if they get Kawhi.
Decent. Not great.
Year two I bet they add some serious short term depth.
