No wins when trailing entering the 4th

On pace to become to the first team since Philly in 2015-16 to have 0 wins when trailing entering the 4th. Big difference is that team won 10 games. I think we might be the only team with a winning record to do that. Adding to our successful yet weird season, we’ve trailed entering the 4th the 2nd least times this year.
Our biggest problem by far this season is we’re terrible in late games. I know last night was a back to back, but it was the same things that’s plaguing us all year. We managed cut the lead to 5 or less, and then immediately collapse and give up a big run.
Can you coach a team to be better in the clutch? I’m not sure what the answer is but when teams have our number, it’s like we’re helpless.

Absolutely. Terrible rotations, no lead guard to handle the ball, horrid ATO’s, etc

I give full credit to Willie for this stat.

Coaching. As soon as the game plan goes "off course" the coaching staff can't adjust or recover.

We either blow out good teams or get blown out by bad teams.

Absolutely you can. The fact Pels continuosly do this is an indictment on Willie.

We play starters a lot in the 4th and unfortunately the top of our roster is often outplayed by the top of other rosters. The lineup that's played the most minutes this year - CJ, Herb, Zion, Jonas, and BI-- has a net negative rating together.

Everyone on the team has a negative NETRtg in the clutch except for 2 guys.
Naji is at 13.8
Larry is at 7.4
Jose is at -0.5
CJ is at -4.8
Zion is at -11.7
Herb is at -15.2
BI is at -20.8
JV is at -26.9
Dyson is at -31.1
Trey is at -41.7
Hawkins is at -56.5
Jose has only played in the clutch in 3 games this year.
BI and Zion each at 20 games, Herb at 19, Dyson at 16, CJ/JV/Naji/Trey all at 12 and Larry at 10 and Hawkins at 9.
We've played in 22 games that meet the clutch criteria, which is the 2nd least amount in the league and we are 9-13 in them. There are 15 other teams with a postive record in the clutch.
There are 3 teams in the league that have a winning record overall, but a losing record in the clutch.
Suns at 14-16
Pels at 9-13
Sixers at 10-11
Our ORtg goes from 116.8 overall to 100 in the clutch
Our DRtg goes from 112.4 overall to 118 in the clutch
Offense in the clutch is a much bigger problem than the getting stops issue some think we have.
Naji is at 13.8
Larry is at 7.4
Jose is at -0.5
CJ is at -4.8
Zion is at -11.7
Herb is at -15.2
BI is at -20.8
JV is at -26.9
Dyson is at -31.1
Trey is at -41.7

This is the biggest reason I don’t think we’ll win a playoff series. A playoff game is essentially all clutch time.

that'd be pretty impressive if it were the teams golf scores. Not so much with basketball.

Yeah it's not good. Really though, this team's strength is that the second unit usually outplayed other second units. When rotations are tightened for playoffs it's likely that we will continue to see the same issues we currently see in the 1st and 4th quarters but carried into other quarters with fewer bench minutes that otherwise help clean up mess.
