There’s still about a 3rd or the season left. WIN.

We are 5 games out with 33 to play. Assuming that the 7-8 teams keep their current pace and finish 18-15, that means the Pels will have to finish 23-10 and that’s also assuming no other team ahead of them gets hot as well. Oh, and they don’t have AD for the next week or so. I’d give us a very outside chance if we were fully healthy. 0 chance with AD hurt.

I’d much rather lose a bunch of games with AD out and get Gentry fired mid season. We could very easily lose our next 4 games (SAS, @HOU, DEN, @SAS). Well likely be near double digit underdogs in all of them.

If Alvin Gentry is gone by the ASB and we get to see what Finch can do, that is WINNING for all of us fans in my book.

I bet it would take 25-8 to get into the playoffs.

And three games from now, that will be 25-5

It’s more like a little under half a season left if were are being analytical.

This is great and I hate to be a debby downer but lets say we do sneak in to a playoff spot. What will it really matter? Most likely be one and done considering we'd likely only have a shot at 7th or 8th seed.

I feel this goes for every team this season

If healthy, no one is taking the Warriors to 6 games

No selling unless it’s the team to another city if AD leaves.

No rebuilding because the current front office is not capable and having to start over after having another top player would suck.

Saying that it's pointless to make the playoffs because you aren't gonna win it all anyway is a bad argument and that is not what we should be discussing here.

If the Pels had a realistic shot at it, they should fight for it. But they are unquestionably out of that picture. They will be 22-31 in a week. 23-30 at best. It's over.

The lone question if a star like Beal isn't available in a trade is: Do you stand Pat or do you sell?

That is literally the only question to ask. And to me, the answer is obvious

Making the playoffs would be a nice surprise and would mean that we ended the season with a strong run. I think we would all love that. I would also love to throw a scare into a team or two and you never know. 8th seeds have won before..

At the very least you need to see what you can get for Randle and weigh that against the value of your low odds of keeping him another year. It feels like everyone but Demps knew he needed to trade Ryno. He wasn’t coming back and his continued presence wouldn’t help the team make the playoffs as far back as they had fallen. It’s a very similar situation and I hope Demps learned from that mistake.

Making the playoffs would be great. Nobody is winning the title besides the warriors tho. That’s all that’s pointless.

Yeh I’m on the other side. I do everything I can to put my best team forward for 2019-20. I’m not trading AD this summer.

Move Randle, move Moore. But move them to collect assets in hopes something becomes available that’s appealing to AD

Once you’re in the playoffs anything can happen. 25-8 is doable.

That's equivalent to being a 62 win team. That's "best team in the league when there isn't a dynasty" level winning. I really don't want to crush your optimism, but especially if AD misses at least 5 of those games, what have you seen from this team that makes you think they can play at that level?

Don't ever apologize for crushing somebody's optimism. In fact, please do it more often :)

It's not impossible, we went on 2 10 win streaks last season...

This team has it in them if they quit with the stupid mistakes and stay healthy

if they make it at all, considering they need to win so much they would be confident and able to back.it up.

Clark was spectacular in college but he was looser. He's playing scared.

I'd talk to other gms about AD.
Maybe you hit the jackpot.
And great if the pels go 20-4 when David comes back, bring on the playoffs. Davis can get 40 pts and 18 boards per for a series.

That's not optimism. That's pure, unadulterated delusion
