They are playing way better than I expected. Knowing AD wasn’t going to play probably helped them in preparing compared to the last 2 games where it wasn’t expected he would not last the whole game.

Well that was unexpected. Good effort from a bunch of different guys that half. Asik settled in and gave some decent minutes. Now just need to not play typical Pelicans 3rd quarter basketball. Keep the ball moving and getting everyone involved.

If we can just catch a damn break and develop a decent rotation, Asik could actually be an asset instead of an albatross.

Asik had solid On/Off numbers last year and some people were actually wanting him to get more minutes before Gentry decided he didn't fit and benched him.

Cunningham is looking extra active tonight which is a little weird to say for a guy that is know as a hustle/energy guy, but he's been flying to rebounds tonight in ways I don't normally notice.

Asik has always been a rebound magnet. It always seems like they just fall right into his hands with minimal effort, which must mean his positioning is good. Obviously he isn’t a scorer, but he has his value.
