Pelicans have been running that same baseline play for AD out of timeouts, since 2012, and it hasn't worked since Monty Williams was here.

Cant grab a defensive rebound all night, yet we continue to have Davis on the perimeter guarding Johnson and Olynyk instead down low with Whiteside.

This team is pitiful with the talent. Its like they have accepted their place in the middle if the West, which has stolen thier fire, and they are no longer middle of the West. I feel like they have the players to do something special and keep us all interested, but its going to take some major EFFORT and WORK, and I'm just not seeing that. They aint mad. They aint fired up.

Yes, they avoid putting AD on some centers, but Whiteside has never been one of them. They came in assuming AD could shut down the pick and roll and Randle could handle Whiteside on the boards, but it hasn't worked at all.

Gents, I’ve come to the conclusion we have a serious coaching problem. Rotations, effort, discipline. We’re getting slaughtered in that department tonight. Things like little touch fouls on jump shooters, not being able to sell any contact in return, playing fringe guys serious minutes just because they’ve been here longest, getting outworked regularly. It’s not like we have this great offense or defense to hang our hat on either in place of these things. We’re just simply wasting a generational talent who is getting better and hitting his prime. This may indeed be Monty bad. It’s getting close.
