What did Raptors give up though? I would think he has more potential than a very late pick in a weak draft.

It could be a first-round pick with so much protection it is guaranteed to become just a second rounder.

Pistons supposedly had first round offers for both players last year. Now they trade them for Quentin Grimes to further complicate their backcourt

Probably, but they could've potentially traded that pick for a future swap or something to a team who is trying to gather more first round picks. There were rumors of teams attempting to do something similar recently.

Meh. Teams rumored to be offering the swaps are pretty good. Swap may never convey. If they like the player, I would always take the known player.

it's the worst pick of OKC or the Clippers, so they essentially traded the 28th or 29th pick for Ochai/Olynyk.
and they still have their own top 10 pick and the Pacers 1st as well.

The draft will be so weak at the backend of that draft that it might as well be valued as 2nd round picks.

It’s not that I don’t think they should have gotten rid of them, it’s that there’s absolutely no shot that Knicks package was the best they could have gotten

Probably just overplayed their hand and for burned for it. No one was giving up first round picks for expiring Bojan and Burks. Like the Raptors, they waited a year too long.

It wasnt they should have been traded earlier. They waited too long and this is what happens. They basically gambled and thought market would work in their favor. They were wrong.

We should rejoice. The Pels were BBQ chicken for Olynyk. Dude would be in the hall of fame if he only had to play the Pels.

nah. that's right. i edited it.

It was first reported as Schroeder for Dinwiddie, adn then corrected to be Schroeder for Thad.

I take that back, i'm an idiot.

It's Thad Young and Schroeder for Dinwiddie.
