Hell, the biggest reason is minutes per game.

This is not talked about enough. Zion's play to start the year was a step behind where he has been early in his career. However, over the last 30 games, his offensive efficiency and other stats have been very good. He just simply is not getting the usage and/or the minutes. The in shape excuse doesn't hold water anymore. He played 36 minutes last game and was the best player on the floor. It is time to take the kid gloves off and treat him like a real NBA player. He needs to be closer to 36mpg than 30mpg.

But this season, we have a lower win % when both play than when 1 or both are out over that 12 game sample.

But that's partly a function of how out of shape Zion was early in the season. We definitely know that BI and fat Zion are a bad combo.

Can we get a moratorium on “Willie Green is so bad” threads until he loses a playoff series he should have won.

Season 1, the number 1 seed needed a literal perfect game 6 from an all time great PG to eliminate an overmatched Willie team.

Season 2, Willie circled the wagons and salvaged a play-in appearance when the team was left for dead after the Zion injury, and if Zion had bothered to rehab at all instead of getting really fat who knows.

Season 3 we are a mid seed western conference team. Our roster is maybe, maybe better than the kings and no one else ahead of us in the standings

Let this string play out.

Sacto has also been one of the healthiest teams in all the nba.

Pels have been fairly healthy this season too, particularly the big 3. TM3 and Nance are the ones that have missed any significant time.

In any event, we lose the 3rd quarter too often because of coaching (other teams adjust and Willie often is lost when they do), the rotations at the end of tight games, coupled with the dozen or so blown 10+ lead games surely falls on the coaching to a high degree. His passive personality seems to be passed down the majority of the players too.

It is fair to question who would replace him but I am ready to try someone else unless he salvages the rest of the season.

You cite a couple of facts but state more in the way of assumptions or opinions.

I’ve followed this team since 2000-2001. Right now, we have a good team that is 29-21, and they are fun to watch. Sure, I’d love to win a championship, and so would 28 or 29 other teams. I don’t have the time or inclination to bitch and moan much.

And I dont have an inclination to go along with your ho hum Ned Flanders approach to a team that is on no path to an actual championship.

Congrats were at opposite ends of the spectrum. No if you excuse me im trying to cook up some trades that wont ever happen.

You sound like an unhappy person.

As I've said many times, this boils down to people like VOR who are just happy to watch a team win some game vs. folks like me who see a team that if everyone played to their potential and how they should play to max their talents and we had the right plan in place, could legit be a contender.

FWIW, there's no right or wrong in the 2 types. But that IS what the issue/discussion boils down to. Those who are just happy to be where we are and those who feel we can do so much more but aren't unlocking that full potential.

Why would seeing a team that you think can be so much better and pointing that out mean you're an unhappy person?
