They are inherently different forums.

Saints/Falcons/Panthers go at each other all the time on the MSB. That's not allowed on Saints Talk. Or very discouraged.

The difference is the mods don't monitor this forum as much.

Davis has little chance to win the MVP this year unless the team is much better than the 9th-7th seed they look to be. Either way by the end of the season Davis will be a top 3 player and that is all that matters to me.

I'd take any money that the defense is playing better because subtraction of parsons/lin, and adding ariza.

AD:
24.5 ppg (6th)
11.8 rpg (2nd - dwight @ 11.9)
2.1 apg (14th among all F/C)
1.3 tov (really low)
2.3 spg (5th among all active players 2.4 for allen/paul, 2.6 for wall/curry; 1st among all F/C)
4.1 bpg (1st)
1.3 pf/g

56.1 fg% (only top 10 scorer, top 10 fga to have >50%)
76.9 ft%

35.65 PER (1st by +8)
126 ortg
94 drtg

The defense was ranked around 7-8 last year before Sampson left and then they fell out of the top 10. Any team with a healthy Howard is gonna be at the top of the league defensively, he's just that good. Ariza is an upgrade over Parsons, but Harden's D is much better too. His defensive rating, defensive rebounds, steals, blocks are all up from last season. Harden is without a doubt part of the reason HOU is atop the rankings, he's not a liability out there.

What is a troll to you? When I'm posting stats, articles, etc to backup m opinion that is the exact opposite of a troll. Troll is someone whose posts don't contain substance, like you.

Early in the season but Harden is 2nd in the league in blocks per game among guards, 5th in steals among shooting guards, 7th overall in defensive rating, only guards ahead of him are Curry and Tony Allen. OH yea and #1 in the league in defensive win shares.

as much as it kills me I have to defend boom in this thread. he has done nothing that resembles trolling and this is a thread about the mvp race and comments were made about harden that he responded to. some pels posters then began to put their hands over their ears close their eyes and start screaming and stomping their feet. boom isn't the cause of this particular derailment.

The defense is playing better for many reasons. Different personnel is only part of it. They hired T.R. Dunn, a good defensive coach. They changed their defensive scheme this year. And most importantly, the coaches and players are making defense a focus this year, and everyone has bought in. They didn't even really work on offense much until a couple days before the first game. Training camp was almost exclusively all about defense.

Harden has bought in, and it's noticeable. He's taking charges, pressuring the ball, blocking shots, etc.

Like I said, he's not a lock-down defender... but he looks pretty good out there. Night and day difference from last year.

Everyone needs to shut the frick up about the Rockets then

Seriously 3/4 of these threads turns into Boom and them talking about the Rockets

Who. fricking. Cares.

Take it to the MSB people

is this effort sustainable or just an anomaly? it's a little hard to believe he got this much better when a mere 2 months ago he was playing D like the 2012 saints.

why is it so hard to ignore him. let him post what he wants, don't respond and eventually he'll go away. pretty damn simple

dud literally it is like 5% of threads at most. The thread would have like 10 posts if not for the additional discussion from the Rockets posters. Ignore the thread and post in the other 25 threads on the first page that have no rockets posts in them. on one is ruining your board.

20 threads on page 1, 1 has rockets posters in it and only because rockets players were specifically mentioned. you are overreacting.

well since you aren't watching the rockets stats are all we have to go off of, and they are great. and obviously you missed the point of the dwight effect paper.
