JK Two weeks

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today the following medical updates:

Trey Murphy III, who sustained a right hamstring strain on October 2nd, has progressed well through the first phase of rehabilitation. He has been cleared to begin the return-to-play conditioning phase of the rehab process. Further updates will be provided in approximately two weeks.

Dejounte Murray suffered a left hand fracture during the fourth quarter of last night’s game against the Chicago Bulls. Medical imaging taken after the game confirmed the injury. He will be out indefinitely and further updates will be appropriately provided.

Mid November is our best bet with another 2 weeks update.

We are talking about going on a 7 week injury, at least.

I find that to be wild for a hamstring (just like Zion missing basically an entire season with 1)

Murphy is getting paid like the big boys now. You have to imagine they'd welcome him to the super cautious rehab club.

Wtf. I had to watch the replay and didn't get finished until late. Turned it off with a minute or two left since the game was in the bag. Had no idea he got hurt. Good lord.

Honestly the injury is hard to catch even on replay. Completely innocuous fall on a foul.

It was very obvious when his teammates were coming to pick him up. He very noticeably asked them not to touch his hand

Someone needs to gif Pierre or King Cake Baby into the SNL Debbie downer skit.

It’s uncanny. Last night was such a hopeful opening.

Even with Murray and Trey out… we still have Zion BI Herb and CJ… most teams would be happy to swap their starters with that!

These guys must be an other worldly level of explosive. I play basketball a lot at my local rec and I’ve never come close to injuring my hamstring. It’s just hard to comprehend how they have to rest these muscles for 2 months when he probably just strained it while jumping.
