A player of Anderson's caliber and versatility

I like Anderson a lot but he has 2 elite skills- 3pt shooting and ORebounding- that cash his checks. He is not versatile. Now that doesn't mean he can't come off the bench, but I just don't see it happening when he can't create his own shot.

Edit- I would also say that his strengths work better against starting lineups which have more traditional 4s and 5s than bench units with more unconventional players.

There is no way that Rivers will start before Vasquez

Anderson will get destroyed if he plays SF against the likes of Lebron, Melo, Durant, Granger, etc.

Vasquez
Gordon
Aminu
Davis
Lopez

Anderson still gets his 28-32 minutes a game.

Crunch time lineup
Gordon
Rivers
Vasquez/Aminu (depends on how he does early on.)
Anderson
Davis

Granger will still torch him. Any fast, athletic swingman will eat him alive. While he is a clutch shooter, he is also slow and unathletic. He needs to guard PFs.

Aminu is legit. He is one of the best defensive 3s in the league. With scorers at the other positions it will be good to have a great defensive 3 to lockdown some of the best players(KD, LeBron, Melo, ect..........Ariza). Anderson will play against lesser 3s for offense but dont down on Aminu just because of offense. He can play.

The more I read the more it looks like Anderson is going to start at SF.

I'm thinking:

PG-Vasquez
SG-Gordon
SF-Anderson
PF-Davis
C- Lopez probably or Smith

Yeah, but you also think Davis will step in and start at Center from day 1.
