I don’t think Love is enough of a difference maker right now,

People forget that Love is a 20/10 level player. Injuries certainly are a concern, but he could easily your top scoring big on a playoff team.

I don't want them to trade for Love, I just can kind of see the appeal. With them not looking to move Lonzo/Ingram, most of the cap space will be going to a center, preferably one that can shoot 3s and create space. The list of available starting caliber stretch 5s or 4/5s is pretty small.

Injury aside, admittedly a significant aside, Love is exactly what most people are saying they want and what we need. He’s a rebounding machine, one of the best ever, to take that pressure off of Zion while he learns his game, he’s a stretch big to clear space and drop 3s, and he’s a leader. He’s expensive but we have the money and it just doesn’t look like we’re going to find the quality wing shooter(s) we also need, just yet. NAW helps there though. I also don’t think the Pels will be nearly as bad as some think. With K Love, I think we are a mid seed playoff team from the beginning and will have playoff level talented players at each position. I’d rather M Turner mostly because of age and money but I’d be excited to get Love on this team.

exactly my sentiment. I don't want him, but I completely understand why he's in the conversation. he knocks out veteran leadership, very good player when healthy (you think Nelson can keep him on the floor), he's a good fit with Zion, and you'd get assets back to take him on

but WOW if that contract isn't intimidating. it just kills the appeal for me

So if there were two Zions, you wouldn't want one of them and couldn't play them together?

No because they will be in each other’s way. We need a complimentary player next to Zion for him to roam and do his thing not a lesser twin. Also, Randle will command half of our cap and that’s not something I think the Pels are interested in.

I like Steph Curry and would welcome him on my team

I also like Seth Curry and would welcome him on my team.

But do I want them to play significant minutes together in the same back court? No. I would keep Steph and tell Seth that if he wants to take a team favorable contract and a role that fits the teams needs we welcome his presence, but if not we are going to have to allocate our limited resources to balancing out the roster around the better player.

Zion is a transcendent talent who can do many things well. Two of him wouldn't get in each other's way.

Randle isn't as good as Zion. He would get in Zion's way.
