If we can get a sf at 13, there'd be little point to start marion for a year over him. I don't see him coming to play for the youngest team in the league for 1 season.

No SF that's draftable would start. Monty's a defense first guy and rookies always suck on defense even if that's their specialty. Shabazz is the only one with the potential to get big minutes. Porter is too light, Saric is staying overseas and Franklin isn't good enough yet.

Yeah, you aren't going to get a rookie who starts over him in this class.
Most obvious scenario is to draft Saric and let him play over seas, let Marion start and then bring Saric over next year.

I think Porter would start under most circumstances and would be brought along similar to how AD was. I don't think weight is overly important at SF in most cases

I realize that SM could outplay a 19 year old. I'm just saying iif you want to develop a kid and let him become part of the group of starters, what is the point of giving his playing time to someone who will certainly not be around at the end of the season?
