Lonzo tells Lavar BBB brand is "demolished"

For those who want to see more separation between Lonzo and Lavar's attention whoring, on the new trailer for Lavar's Facebook reality tv show the following exchange goes down:

Good, his dad almost ruined his career with his bullshite. Lonzo seems like a guy who just wants to ball and is excited for a chance to redeem himself

I think his dad generated more hype for Lonzo than he would have normally gotten. I don’t think his dad harmed his career at all.

Cost him a ton of endorsement money? Yes.
Lonzo/Lavar reportedly turned down $15M/5yr shoe deal. Not sure how much of that he made up with BBB, but considering they supposedly only sold a few hundred pairs of shoes and had marked down BBB shirts to $5 not too long ago, and had his dad's business partner accused of stealing $1.5 million from the company...I doubt it came close to $15M. Plus how badly did Lavar hurt Lonzo's marketability to the general public? Maybe he had some local endorsements in Los Angeles, but I've never seen Lonzo in any commercials
ETA: But glad to see it seems like Lonzo is finally breaking free of his dad's nonsense

I have no idea of his current endorsements, but I would say his fame is much higher than his career dictates. I assume he has cashed in on that to some extent.

AD is considered a top 5-10 player in the NBA and I’ve only ever seen him in a motor oil commercial. I believe his move to LA has inked him a deal with Ruffles, but I haven’t seen any tv ads.
Lonzo Ball has barely averaged 10 ppg and missed 30 games per season. How many national tv commercials should he be expected to make? It’s like saying Markelle Fultz doesn’t have any national tv endorsements.
For what he may have lost on a low end shoe deal, he’s certainly made some of that back with the reality show, and that wouldn’t be possible without the Dad. The fact Lavar’s business partner thought he could steal 1.5 million without anyone noticing, implies there’s a decent amount of money floating around in the first place.
The JBA likely being funded by Lonzo’s money is probably a lot more of a hit than the shoe deal. But without seeing specific accounting amounts no one really knows.
