The hope is he gets dealt sooner rather than later so we can continue to see NAW and Kira get minutes.
I just don't see Lonzo on this team next season, so I'd hate for him to be the reason the young guys aren't getting much run.

Hopefully we see the good Lonzo tonight. Gonna need quality play from all our guards tonight.

I'll say this though, unfortunately this board is about to become insufferable.
The Lonzo hate is going to make this a tough place to come around pretty soon, unless he turns his game around.
It won't be pretty.

Not happy about him being back b/c i bet you Kira doesn't play a minute tonight. It's sad that we had to have injuries to see what NAW could do with a bigger role, as well as just to see Kira on the court period. Now that Bledsoe and Bonzo are back i guess it'll be 18 minutes for NAW and no minutes for Kira, unless of course we get our asses handed to us tonight, then we might see Kira and more NAW.
But yes, he should start....AT THE 2, b/c he's not a PG and never will be, and if we want to get the best out of him, then get the god damn ball out of his hands in the half court. He should dribble a maximum of 2-3 dribbles in the half court per possession.
I wish we'd start Kira with Bonzo. Let Bledsoe and NAW come off the bench and provide the bench scoring when BI is out. I think a lineup of Bledsoe/NAW/Redick/Hart/Jaxson would do some scoring.
Starting Kira with BI and Zion allows him to not have much pressure on him offensively, and you can let him focus on defense and simply not turning the ball over, which he did not do at all in the 15 minutes he played last game, with 5 assists.
Starting Bledsoe with them takes him away from what he does best, and that's penetrate and score. He's not a catch and shoot offensive guy, even though he's actually shooting great from 3, but that's not what he's been known for throughout his career. He's someone that bullies his way into the lane and gets to the free throw line. I want him and NAW with the ability to have the ball in their hands a good bit so they can score, and that would be better suited off the bench without too much time with BI and Zion on the court.

He will not turn his game around. This is his game. I'll say this, if he gets more minutes than NAW tonight then I might be donE with the coach. He has done nothing since the bubble to indicate he should be starting over NAW. If this is the case then you are showing me that it isn't about putting the best player on the court and rewarding success.

The past few games and seeing his job and minutes slip away COULD have lit a fire under him, we will see. The problem is that fire or not...he's just not very good.
MM thinks we should bring him off the bench and let Klutch do there thing demanding a trade and then Griffin "reluctantly" moves him for whatever.

I just don't know what Lonzo does well on the offensive end. We cant have a 2 guard that can't shoot and won't drive.

well the hate didn't really start until the bubble, and this season. Most people have defended him from the beginning, and stayed positive about him throughout last year.
Even I started coming around to him, but i always said last year that i wish we'd make the playoffs b/c i want to see what he's made of in a playoff series b/c i think he'll become unplayable b/c of his ineptitude in the halfcourt.
And the hate is warranted. Not only is he sucking on the court, he's preventing NAW and Kira from playing more b/c we keep playing him 35mpg.

i had high hopes for ball but he's just bad
he's 100% more of a 3/D max guy than a primary ballhandler and it hurts us to pretend he's the latter

I do think hindsight is easy to say maybe we shoulda tried to move him in the offseason. But I also think we made the right play, and it just didn't work. That happens sometimes.
He had X amount of value in the offseason. Even if he just gave a repeat of last season, he gains in value and we could get a bigger return waiting it out. We tried that, and now we'll get a lesser return. Didn't work, but I don't mind what we were doing there, but we just can't keep him on the team next season.

At this point, this team is better with NAW and Kira getting minutes. If they want to bring Lonzo off the bench slowly and let it play out, fine, but he better not be getting more minutes than those 2

team's stuck in a hard place on this one.. Need to play Ball and hope he turns his season around so you move him, but doing so likely means you continue to lose

He shoots open catch and shoot 3's well, when he's not trying to look fancy and pull his hands down real quick after the release like he's a fricking 12 year old mimicking an and 1 mixtape.
and he is a good defender for the most part, and he really is a great defensive rebounder. I'd say he's an elite defensive rebounder for a guard, as is Hart.
His biggest problem is he's more worried about image than playing smart. He's constantly looking for highlights instead of just playing the game right, and that's why he has been a turnover machine from day 1 in the league.

And the hate is warranted
It's just gonna suck, that's all. Even as I recognize and want NAW/Kira to get those minutes over Lonzo knowing it won't happen.

Hope he plays well for both the Pels winning chances tonight. I also hope he increases his trade value so that we may dump him before the trade deadline.

I got news for you buddy. Lonzo will play more than NAW. And Kira probably doesn't play at all.
I'm disliking Stan more and more each game, and this will only make me more irritated. Unless they are trying to showcase him to trade him, there's no other reason Lonzo should get his minutes decreased, as well as Redick with his shitty shooting, and NAW and Kira get more.

Honestly just getting Ball elsewhere is value to me. No need to justify giving minutes to Kira and NAW because Ball is no longer there AND we don't have to worry about his contract or anything. That's a positive.
Anything we get for him is just gravy.
