Dyson with a team worse -15 tonight.

He sat basically the entire 4th, at which point the Hawks immediately made their run to win the game.

The best ball in 8 quarters of the postseason was played with Dyson on the bench.

This wasn't difficult to see coming.

He is a black hole on offense.. the moment he touches the ball he's looking to send it elsewhere

One or two times the clock forced him to shoot and he put up those goofy hip shot floaters that clanged of the rim and created a break the other way

Defense was solid but so was pretty everyone else's in a playoff game

At least be accurate and not lie.

He’s the 7 million dollar man on this years playoff team. 10th highest paid player….

Again, you refuse to acknowledge the when you're wrong about something and just focus on other stuff.

You thought Dyson could play in the playoffs. You were told it wouldn't go well.

Literally doing it again

Also leading all starters isn't exactly great when you're still outscored while on court.

He was played off the court tonight, and the Hawks immediately played their best ball. This is the part where you ignore that and talk about legit anything else.

I’m not wrong. I’m guessing you are one of the posters that said and thought DD would never start, not on a playoff team anyway.

Pretty much why im seeing these threads, b/c yall couldn’t be more wrong. Just trying to justify bad opinions after the trade.

Hard not to feel sorry for DD. The guy plays HARD all season long...but then, come playoffs, the other team really concentrates on his offensive weaknesses...plus all the other players raise their overall defensive intensity which kinda negates the one major advantage that DD had over other players during the regular season.

Playoffs are just a different game. If they find a weak spot...they will just HAMMER IT... all night long. I was afraid they were gonna have to bench DD down the stretch...and they did. Really hate it for him.

He has scored 10 points in 2 games and will be paid 20 mil next season.

That is not a good sentence.

I mean we paid Poole 32 million this year and will pay him 34 million next year and that was for a team that couldn’t sniff a play in game. Paid to not play in games the 2nd half of the year.

I’m sure the Hawks will be estatic when he helps them to the playoffs again next year….

That is less than what dyson is owed. We can get off of his deal next year.

You cannot admit Dyson has played bad in the playoffs

Through 2 games, Dyson is 2nd worse on the team with an 11.8 OnCourt per 100 and a team worse -20.6 On-Off.

The best quarter of the 8 quarters they played was the quarter they intentionally sat Dyson when it mattered most, when the season was teetering on the brink.

"I'm not wrong"

Except, you're wrong.

Other than that, you nailed it!!

Is today opposite's day or something? You were quite literally and factually wrong and I was quite literally and factually correct so far through 2 games, and you STILL can't acknowledge that.

Remember when I said you love to move the goalposts and change the subject.

Factually speaking, this is you changing the subject so you don't have to discuss Dyson's struggles.

What we did with Jordan Poole is entirely irrelevant to this discussion.

IF there's no improvement in his scoring ability like there hasn't been through 4 years, there is zero chance the Hawks will end up "happy" with the contract they gave Dyson. That is a very simple and obvious statement any rational person would agree with. But you're not rational, you're dug into your stance and will refuse to concede that.

Dude is losing credibility and any chance to be taken seriously with how he's playing this right now.

Dyson is on a 4 year $100M contract. Why are yall acting like they are paying him some mega exorbitant contract. I think the Hawks would give Dyson that same deal again tomorrow lol.

Probably as big a DD fan as there is on here...but I doubt the Hawks ever dreamed that he would shoot 18.8% from 3 for the year...and basically get to the point that he wouldn't even shoot them.. And...that they would decide that they didn't want him on the court in the 4th quarter during the playoffs.

But I could be wrong...and maybe the Hawks would luv to spend $100M over the next 4 years on DD...if they had it to do over again.

I STILL haven't given up on DD...but I gotta admit I wouldn't want to jump out there and spend $100M over the next 4 years...to sign this kind of player. But...you never know...maybe there are several teams that would have no problem doing that...after watching him play this season.
