If Trey Burke is 6ft then I'm 6'8.

I'm exaggerating but I'll say 5'9-5'10 ish

Last I checked I was 6'5 and MCW is listed as 6'6 and he's to the top of the bridge of my nose.

He's a good 6'4

I think this guy just doesn't know how tall he actually is.

MCW was 6'4.75 without shoes on. I guess he was just working out today in ballet flats...

He didn't say Gordon would be playing alongside him if he came here. Maybe he knows something.

Jim Eichenhofer interviews with Burke and MCW More at the links.

quote:

Pelicans.com: What do you know about the city of New Orleans and this organization
Burke: I know New Orleans is a traditional city and has a lot of citizens who are very prideful and strong New Orleans residents. It’s great to know that this city is pretty much like a family. After Katrina, everybody stuck together and it goes to show how strong this city is. I know the Pelicans are a very young team. That’s where I want to go. I want to go to a young team that has guys that are willing to win. I definitely think this would be a great start for my career.

quote:

Pelicans.com: Speaking of defense, from the way it sounded when you were speaking to the large group of media here, you’ve answered skeptical questions about your defense a lot, based on having played for a college team that primarily uses zone. Has that gotten frustrating?
Carter-Williams: Yes, it is frustrating. Because people assume that I can’t play defense, just because we played zone and they think that we just sat in a zone. For one thing, people act like I’ve never played man-to-man before. Two, they act like when you play in a zone you just stand there and do nothing. The zone is tough. There are a lot of man-to-man principles in it, and people don’t tend to know that. People don’t realize you had to work to keep people in front of us or to (execute) rotations. Just because you’ve never seen me play (man-to-man) defense doesn’t mean that I can’t play it. Why assume one thing when you don’t know?

Len interview:

quote:

Pelicans.com: Is there a big man in the NBA, past or present, that you would compare yourself to?
Len: I actually don’t like to compare myself to anyone. But I really like watching what Tim Duncan is doing right now, and growing up I liked watching Hakeem Olajuwon.

Sounds like a guy that doesn't expect to go top 5.

If he thinks, say, Orlando would select him, why would he say he wants to play in New Orleans (unless he likes our team so much more that he's willing to sacrifice the added money in being picked second to go 6th).

Ah ok.

I just took it as him being cordial and politically correct.

I've watched some of his post workout interviews with teams, and some of the other prospects and they all basically just seem to repeat the same answers to reporters in each city.

With that said, I do think he would legitimately like to play here and his agent let him workout here for a reason. He said after his Sacramento workout that he probably wouldn't workout with anybody lower than them, at the 7th pick.

Just doing some deduction, he doesn't seem to think he'd go lower than 7. If Orlando picks Mclemore(who seems to be acting like he already plays for the Magic according to their fans) that would basically leave us or Sacramento
