Well you don't get guys like KAT for free, and there isn't another big in the NBA that fits better next to Zion.

Not that this would ever happen, but surprised that Pels fans dont like it, considering we would still hold on to the later of the Lakers picks, which theoretically hold more value.

Forget the pelicans for a second. Why would the Celtics ever do that?

It works without the Celtics too. Just take out all of the fluff.

Pels: Towns
Wolves: Hayes, Favors, Frank J + picks

If you could get Towns for that you do it.

Zo
Jrue
Ingram
Zion
Towns

Naw
JJ
Moore
Hart
Melli
Okafor

The Celtics save 20m heading into next season swapping Hayward for Covington, which to me isnt much of a downgrade (and get an extra year with Covington)

They get a shooter off the bench in Moore to help out this season in the playoffs.

They improve the starting center position, and can afford to resign him with Moore coming off the books (emergence of Langford/Edwards) next season to fill that void.

The Celtics improve this season with this trade, and give themselves more flexibility heading into offseason without Haywards crappy contract.

Kemba
Brown
Covington
Tatum
Favors

Moore
Langford
Theis
Kanter

Problem is Favors wouldn't be considered an asset to the Wolves, however a team like the Celtics, he would. They can use him to compete for a championship now.

I don't think trading Hayes would be a good thing. He's young and can be good at 5 in the future.
