Trade complete:

MIL: Jrue Holiday, No. 60 pick Sam Merrill
NOLA: Steven Adams, Eric Bledsoe, ‘25/'27 1sts, ‘24/'24 swaps via MIL
OKC: George Hill, Josh Gray, Kenrich Williams, Zylan Cheatham, Darius Miller, ‘23 protected 1st via Denver, two 2nd round picks
DEN: RJ Hampton

I don't like giving up Cheatham and Kenrich, as I would have liked to bring them both back

Kenrich and Zylan are the very definition of below replacement level players.

I’m glad it’s over. Now let’s do some fricking work Griff.

Yes, the #24 pick that we traded to Denver for their 23 first went to OKC, so we have left the 24 swap/25 1st/26 swap/27 1st

So we game up Jrue for Bledsoe(jrue light) Adams (a major upgrade at C) and 2 firsts, I like it a lot...

so Adams cost a 1st, 2 2nds, gray, Williams and cheatham.
they had already punted gray and Williams so the only loss is cheatham who honestly could have gotten PF minutes on this current roster

sure hope Adams makes an impact

Winners of the Milwaukee/New Orleans/OKC trade are Kenrich Williams, Zylan Cheatham and Josh Gray

The three will split the Keith Bogans trophy awarded to a player whose salary is needed to make the money work.

3 year contracts for each with the first year guaranteed.

Unless they working on another trade, I don't see a better end of bench guy that can give some decent minutes here and there when needed than Kenrich, and Cheatham showed some promise last season when he played.

I would've rathered swap Frank out with one of them.

Yeah, Miller made out like a bandit. Likely getting 14 million dollars and won't play a minute in 2 years.

OKC will likely cut all of them anyway, they are just salary fodder

probably...which means OKC and presti did a HUGE solid for us.
huge

they traded Adams and over 2MM in additional salary for a protected first and a couple of high seconds.
say what you want but that’s a good trade for the pels in a vacuum

Hill and Miller are only 16.5 million, the rest of the guys just needed to be minimum contracts to make the whole trade work, so OKC is actually saving about 7 million.

Why are people downvoting the OP?

The Pels just replaced Jrue and Favors with comparable players in Bledsoe and Adams while adding 2 1sts and a pick swap.

Is it anticlimactic after all the build up and waiting?
Yes.

Is it a bad trade?
No.
