Per synergy, Jrue Holiday is scoring 1.153 points per possession on isos. That's No. 1 in the NBA among players with at least 100 isolation possessions.

And he's doing it while drawing far fewer free throw attempts than the elite iso guys.

His handle and dumb turnovers gets frustrating at times, if he could just be consistent he may end up viewed as a top 20 player

He's too strong and doesn't flop.

I dont think I've seen a player get hit in the head with no call as much as Jrue.

That has been the best aspect of his game. If he ever fixed jumpshot inconsistency and late turnovers he would take this team to another level. Besides Zion, if you need 2 points in the fist 3 quarters, Jrue makes getting to the basket look easy.

So you are saying he doesn't flop into fouls like most players?

I'm talking to you Harden, Lou Will, Lowry, Gallinari, Bogdanovic, etc

I wish Jrue would work in the paint more actually. It seems like in the past he was using his post up and bully ball drive more. You see it maybe a couple of times a game but I don't know why he doesn't utilize it more.

Yeah Jrue is a good post up player and I do wish they would use that more in half court sets. Heck, I’d like to see it more the way we do it with Zion on the break.

Jrue posting up a smaller guard on the break feels like easy buckets

maybe there's some advanced stat that will prove me wrong, but every time Jrue goes ISO it seems to take 22 seconds off the shot clock

like playing that guy in Fifa or Madden who never uses the sprint button

I’d bet in a scientific survey of the NBA,
he’d land in the top 20 now

Check this quote from reddit in reference to whether the 76ers should trade Embiid for Jrue and picks:

quote:

The Sixers are not trading Embiid for a 30 year old, injury prone point guard who is a Richardson-tier shooter

I wouldn't trade Jrue for Embiid straight up..

Embiid is a cancer that can't stay healthy.

Dude has been in the league 6 seasons, Ingram has played 39 more games in 4 seasons

I would'nt want Embiid either, and i'm sure Gentry doesn't either. he wants to play to slow.

Would you rather Lonzo or Simmons?

Simmons as a PG and being as big as he is for defensive purposes would be nice, but Lonzo has looked great with Zion, and his much improved shooting trumps Simmons defense i think.

I think a lot of people would say they would rather Lonzo at this point, and if that is the consensus, wouldn't you think he's going to command a pretty big contract when the time comes?

I’d do it in a heatbeat if Embiid was on the table. If Jrue was really worth as much as Embiid, you’d get some crazy arse assets for him. I wouldn’t do it to keep him but probably flip him to a third team for assets. It’s a pipe dream anyways.

Embiid is not worth as much as 6ers fans will think he is.

He's not fetching an AD or PG package. He will fetch a young guy and maybe 2 1sets, depending on where those 1sts land.

He CANNOT stay healthy at all, that kills his value

I would keep Lonzo simply because of his shooting.

If Simmoms would shoot 3's at any kind of rate, then Simmons. Adding him to Zion though would just clog everything up

Embiid is worth a lot more than a 30 year old Holiday injury prone or not.

Never said he's not, it's depending on the team.

For THIS team, Jrue has more value.

NYK? Embiid has more value even with his limited playing time

Yea easily. But you have to unload Holiday at some point and if a guy like Embiid is on the table for Holiday, you do it and flip him for assets to acquire another star that fits the timeline a bit better. You have a much wider range of suitors for a guy like Embiid than a Holiday because they would be willing to build around Embiid whereas Holiday is realistically going to only attract top teams with weak assets.

I would be fine if Holiday stays and plays out his contract but if someone throws an Embiid caliber player on the table, I wouldn’t hesitate to make the moves especially if they plan to keep Ingram, Ball, and Hart together with the core. Someone will have to go at some point.

Why does someone have to go?

The advanced metrics show our starting 5 as top 3 in the league right now.

Would you be willing to break that up along with sending out picks just to get a guy back that you plan on sending out again to get picks back?

It doesn't make sense.

Now, if you have a team that wants Embiid, and they have a player that you want, then you work out a 3 way deal sending out Jrue, but for this team I don't think we will find a better fit.

Jrue is ok taking a backseat and letting Ingram and Zion do their thing. Embiid would destroy that as he wants to be the focus.

As much as I love Beal and his abilities, he would do the same thing.

The way these guys are improving, their contracts are going to reflect their improvements. When Lonzo give you a solid 15/10/5/1 next season, he won’t come cheap and when Hart continues to play the way he plays through next season, he’s going to be sought after. These guys will look infinitely better next year and their price will only go up.

Ball will land a 15-20 deal, Hart will land 10-12

We will still have 3 more years until Zion's max kicks in

We have time to keep everyone together. There's no sense in trading a guy for assets when we already have plenty of assets.
