And we got Bey out of it. Holy fk at least show the whole trade. Poole will be valuable asset next year since he’s an EXPIRING. It’s like yall forget CJ wasn’t doing well at all and he only got traded because he was an expiring.

I was a big fan of Bey even before we got him, so I have no issues with Bey, love what he did this year.

But also, the odds that he's on this team after next season are pretty low I'd guess. So we got a role player out of it for 2 seasons where we won't be any good, so what exactly did that get us? I'll defer until we see out it ends with Bey and whether he does extend, but for now, we got a good role player in a wasted year, which means nothing. And I'm not confident Bey will ever be on this team when they compete for a playoff spot, which is the only way it would benefit us.

CJ would have been a valuable asset this year too.

What? His final season with the Pels he averaged 21ppg and had a normal CJ season, which is certainly not considered to be "not doing well"

I do agree in the end that we should have traded him when we did. He was an expiring and wouldn't extend with us.

Poole won't fetch us an asset like Bey, I'm pretty confident in saying that.

Salty from knowing I was correct about CJ and you were dead wrong.

I get it. Hopefully you get over it and join the rest of us who saw the obvious.

You aren't correct. If we didn't give CJ the first extension/ trade him sooner then who knows what could have happened. BI might have stayed with DJ/ Zion or we have have added someone that fits even better. Keeping CJ even longer than we did was never the answer.

You were never correct because this all started when you blatantly refused to admit CJ was capable of having a bad game. You used "Jose played worse" as an argument towards CJ having one the worst games of his career. That's how in denial you were about CJ. You STILL can't handle any CJ criticism. Anyone who said something as simple as "CJ needs to pass" " CJ needs to stop shooting" "CJ looks like shite" was all hate. Everyone was a hater unless you were obsessed with him. The worst part is that I didn't even dislike CJ.

The fact that this is the most I've seen you on here in a while and its in a thread defending CJ is the perfect cherry on top.

Have you ever thought that its actually just warranted criticism if you are constantly defending a player who majority of fans love/ respect?

Did our ownership make him some sort of ambassador?

Nobody hated CJ, we all wanted him to be great. He just wasn’t that guy in New Orleans, and it’s not entirely on him. He never got to play the role intended for him if Z and BI were actually healthy. I was so excited when we got to see the CJ, BI, Herb, Z, and TM3 small ball lineup we were all waiting for, for about 11 on court minutes. It’s not like AD where we prayed on his downfall, we just acknowledge it was time for CJ to move on.

I'm literally on record now and back then that we should have traded CJ right as we traded. You are factually incorrect with every single thing you claim I say about CJ. Every single time you try, you whiff.

Also, it's hilarious how you dreamed up a scenario where BI stays with us like that would have been a good thing. Yikes.

This is that factually incorrect part.

All of it, factually incorrect.

Not really related to the thread but wtf happened to Mikal Bridges? He basically got benched after 21 minutes and had a -26 +/- and had 0 points.

Just an insanely bad trade to get him by the Knicks.

When he was the #1 in Brooklyn he averaged like 26 ppg. He should be great as a #3 with Brunson and KAT but he completely fell off for some reason. TM3 is so much better and Bridges fetched 5 1st picks.. hmmm..
