Jose gets new $14+ million deal from the Knicks

Put aside giving minutes to Fears, if the world champions can sign a $14M contract and you can’t, your front office is in complete shambles

They have more space under the apron than we do.

Nah I ain't buying that. 4.6 mil per isn't terrible for a 4th guard at all

Put aside everything you just said, do you actually think Jose would take the same money to come here vs a big market team he just won a championship with?
That 3/14 would cost us 3/30 just for him to think about it.

4.6mil for the Knicks after winning a championship. Double/ triple that salary for him to choose Memphis, Nola, etccc in a losing situation.

I’m happy for him! He played his arse off for us and when he went to the Knicks. Glad what he deserves and in his hometown.

Couldn’t be happier for him.
I’m making it a priority to go to the game when the Knicks play in NO and my kids will be wearing their Jose jerseys.

Here's an idea, instead of letting Zion half arse trot around like a loser to up his guaranteed money from 25 to 42 mil (which now makes him a bottom 3 contract in the league), maybe discipline him for not trying for essentially 7 straight years, save the cap space, and keep Jose.
I'm happy for Jose, but let's not act like we didn't have options to pay a key team leader and the fanbase 's favorite player. Benson, Dumars, and Weaver chose to be Zion's bitch instead. Don't let that part of the story be untold.

How do you know he was a team leader? Led the team to 25 wins or whatever. You don’t pay for fan base favorites.
Jose is good on a roster that already has championship roster players, he can come in and do his thing. Pels have Zion / Poole type players , Jose is not a luxury on this roster like he is on the Knicks .
