"We kind of gave up. We kind of let down ... We relaxed. I don't know what to say. We shite the bed." I agree

And they also stopped feeding JV.

Went back to shitty street ball with contested midranges

No true leaders. No fight. Even the coach lacks fight. It’s like they all got neutered in January

I don't know what it is, but throughout the NBA this season it seems that a lot of the teams who either had a good to really big lead just blew it and lost the game. Way more than any other season I've watched. The Pels should have won this game. There should be no excuses to the amount of games we have blown. We need a more vocal leader on this team. I feel that it's Zion, but he isn't on the court playing so that negates it.

Went away from what was winning the game for us. Too many times it seems that Ingram tosses up a lazy shot or dribbles too lazily and turns the ball over.

Which was working really well for the 1st 3 quarters.

So this ugly L is on coach Green.

They went to him once or twice, but he was immediately doubled. Our coaching staff had no answer for that.

Rewatch the 4th quarter. They tried to feed Jonas. Sengun finally figured out how to guard him and he shut him down in the 4th. Houston had some timely doubles as well.

It wasn’t really a blatant, we ignored Jonas. Houston adjusted. And the Pels shite the bed on defense more than anything else.

Admittedly only watched the final minute but don’t see how Jaxson got 0 minutes against a team running Sengun and Jabari Smith. If we’re not going to utilize Val on offense then wtf is the point of him being in the game, just a blatant liability

Zion Williamson is furious, storming down the tunnel and shaking his head. What a win for Houston.

The Pelicans have played 296 games since Zion’s rookie year.

He’s played in 114 of them.

That’s 38.5% of games

BI was really struggling just to dribble the ball. But he kept trying to.

Jonas was basically the only person rebounding on the Pels…he had almost 20rbs and the Pels still were out rebounded by like 10…the non-JV Pels got absolutely worked on the glass. But apparently Willy is good with it since he has refused to play a second big all year.

The one BI had in his hands but could not bring in toward the end was huge.

I believe the ball was tipped. Speaking of BI he led all players with 4 turnovers. On one of his two stolen lazy lob passes he lets the defender that made the steal drive right past him to the goal with hardly a half assed effort to slow him down. His sleepy low energy approach does not lend itself well to a leadership role. His length that helps so much with his shooting abilities would be a huge asset if utilized on defense.

I thought the one where he was just trying to dribble, with much difficulty and eventually just lost the ball leading directly to a fast break basket was the worst. It was at a point where a field goal probably seals that game.

He was really struggling off the dribble the whole game.

What would a leader have done?
