A James Harden pick n roll with Zion/Adams would be sick. But having Harden dribble the ball for 18 seconds of the shot clock while Ingram just stand there would be frustrating. If Harden can play actual basketball next year and not the way he has the past 5, maybe. Let’s see.

Thinking it would take some sort of deal with a S&T of BI plus one (maybe 2) of Lonzo/Bledsoe/JJ/Hart plus picks.

Yeah I would prefer to not mortgage our future for a guy that is entering the back end of his prime at 30 years old, does not stay in tip top shape, will be owed 40+ mil, and will have to extend and pay that money to a guy in the latter half of his 30's.
Is he an absolute superstar that is a top 5 offense by himself? Sure. But mortgaging your future for a hopeful two year run with a guy that has failed to come through in the clutch is not the best use of our resources. Plus his style of dribbling the ball for 20 secs of the shot clock hampers Zion and BI's growth for the next few seasons.
In short, that's gonna be a NO for me dawg.

I legit spent about ten seconds trying to figure out who James Hardin was.

In 2-3 years Harden's contract will be the equivalent of Westbrook's today.
I want no part of that when we will have a 24 year old Ingram and a 21 year old Zion

Are you willing to pay that price for a two year rental?
Because that is the real problem with going after Harden. He will take all your meaningful assets to acquire and likely bolt in two years.
Is that worth it? I think overwhelmingly that is a position we don’t want to be in. Since the end result would be putting the Zion era in pretty much the same place AD was at. A team depleted of assets and no realistic way to get to contender status because you blew all your assets early in his tenure.

You go ahead and make that trade on x-box junior.

He’s the new Carmelo Anthony. Will put up great numbers, but will never translate to a championship.

Probably would have won a ship in that year CP3 went down and they missed 85 threes in a row v GSW

Please God nooooo!!! Ball hog with no defense
Posted on 11/23/20 at 10:55 pm to Shalimar Sid
It most certainly would not be “dope”. He’s a ball hog that unapologetically doesn’t play defense. You have your two stars already in Zion and BI now it’s all about putting the right role playing guys around them to help them be the best players they can be. The Steven Adams deal was a stroke of genius by Griff and guys like Josh Hart and JJ know their roles and play them to perfection.
