Salons is a good passer and a decent offensive engine with the ability to run handoffs, hit cutters, and play P&R. I would imagine they try the end game Jokic/Murray P&R offense.
Also, Detriot was a one-man offensive band with Cade. They are trading off defense for offense here., but they need to add more offensive zip.

The only centers in the NBA I’m paying what Duren is asking are Joker and Wemby (if you consider him a C, he’s a PF to me). That means Sabonis is available but at a very high $45 mil/yr deal for his age 30, 31 and 32 year old seasons.

I’d give them 2 first for Sabonis if they are set on trying to win with Zion. He’d solve both the rebounding issue and give some spacing offensively so the paint isn’t clogged. They would have to take back Poole and Hawkins’ expiring contracts to make it work but ONLY if they are set on winning now.
