Tells me they were considering amnesty-ing him, but found a taker for salary. Interested to see where they go from here at PG spot. Looking like Rivers might assume the same role he had at Duke.

We needed Jack on this team. He was the only real veteran leader we had.

This.
And what do they intend to do with that cap space? What's the plan?

First, this sucks. I knew it was coming sometime this year because of his age buy The Gentleman belonged here
Presumably Wright is still going to Philly, does that mean we get the eurostash and cap space?

well bavcic was a 2nd round draft pick 6 years ago who hasn't played yet. I don't think it was to acquire a skilled guy

Not really seeing what the point of this was. If its just for cap space, I thought we already had a crap ton of that?
Posted on 7/11/12 at 2:15 pm to tehchampion140
Is he going to come over? He's 6'11 fwiw fyi
Posted on 7/11/12 at 2:15 pm to TigerinATL
Bavcic is never going to come over so this was essentially a Bower (cap relief move.)

Apparently, this translates from Serbo-Croation to Spanish as "Gustavo Ayon".

No, otherwise you wouldn't have traded Gomes for Beli. I think it was a free up playing time for Austin and Vasquez move.

Looks like he is assuming Gustavo's role as ugliest person on team. Definitely an upgrade in that department.

no, actually the Gordon signing would likely put us over the cap
Posted on 7/11/12 at 2:16 pm to Broski
We get a nice trade exception out of it.

Demps wanted to show Gordon that Rivers wasn't his replacement, he was Jack's instead. Damn you Gordon

This has to be with a bigger move in mind. We didn't need to get rid of him for scraps unless we really needed to free up the money for this free agency.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to Demps
