I’m not denying the Pels are a sorry arse org, but why are so many of you blaming the Pels for the lotto?

They didn’t ask for the 7th pick in the draft.

They deserve it, though. Sending Zion to represent the team was asking to take an L.

The NBA rewards teams who can provide value

We can provide 40 wins to the Rockets, Mavs, and Spurs

Why are some of you acting like the Pels was the only team that dropped? If I'm a Jazz or Wizard fans I'm the most upset. It didn't matter who we sent the league had there plan in place

Probably because those teams will continue to tank but they have a lot of healthy young players on rookie contracts to develop and this helps keep their fanbase interested.

The Pelicans are past that point and injury riddled. They're not going to tank. Most of their core players are already on second contracts and they need to figure out how to improve the team drastically. It's a tough position to be.

I think its less that they are to blame and more so we realize that its basically impossible to be a fan of a small market team in the NBA unless you hit fricking hail marys. we hit 2 and literally fumbled them. But as shitty as our franchise has been, its actually been PROPPED UP by those 2 hail marys. Now we know we are in for the real deal bottom feeding. It feels pointless.

I gave up my decade long running season tickets couple weeks back plus or so. Rep is nice guy and understood why I’m leaving, but Pels then extended the deadline to May 2nd. I still said no.

I was very curious though about how draft lottery would turn out. I was expecting a ‘one last chance’ follow up email tomorrow to renew if we had hit on top 3 pick (#1). I was considering the idea of jumping back in if we won the Flagg sweepstakes.

Now I couldn’t be happier with my decision to bail.

#7 ????? What a joke. Season tickets purchases will be absolute worst year ever if they weren’t already.

fans were hoping for something to be excited about next year and at least so far the draft won’t provide that. As of now it’ll just be more of the same

In the sports world of superstition, sending the most bad luck player to ever play for the team, seemed odd.

I disagree.. both of those hail marys we "hit" came here and acted like bitch made turds.

AD refused to play center, and forced us to bring in dumpster fires like Ajinca and Asik. Then he gets traded to L.A. and immediately switches to center.

Zion never wanted to come here so he has sabotaged his entire tenure here by being an immature brat who loves soda and cartoons.

Today was supposed to be the light after a season that ended about 1 week into it due to injuries again, then we hire an old retread no one wanted to lead the reboot because he’s from here, and don’t even fire the borderline retarded HC….eh frick it when you spell it all out I guess we deserve this, can’t wait to add another role player to a roster full of them
