BI looks half asleep most of the time. Especially during crunch time. Although he is talented, he’s not gonna inspire or motivate anyone else.

Zion is starting to show some frustration with the meltdowns at the end of games and may start being more vocal and get in some players grill.

Lonzo is quite and non vocal.

Bledsoe - no.

Adams - don’t know but I don’t think so.

We need a vocal, in your face, refuse to lose 2 or 1. Lonzo could play off the ball.

You inject a verbal Alpha personality into that mix and I think they win more of those close games.

Not sure how they do it but they need to get this done somehow.

it's probably the pelican that waddles around like a Rottweiler.

People love to say this. I’m guilty of it, too, because the idea of it is great. But realistically, how many of these guys are even in the league who actually move the needle talent-wise?

CP
LeBron
Jimmy Butler
Westbrook
Kyle Lowry
Dame? I’m sure he has the respect but he doesn’t seem like a super vocal guy.
Steph
Luka

Maybe there are a few more that I’m missing, but it’s not like you can just go out and find these guys on the street.

you have to draft him.

no one trades that guy.

its killer elites.
demanding on defense and high performance on offense.
hall of famers.
Rick barry for instance.
critical of dumbassery and capable of dominating on offense and a serious defender.
Jerry Sloan.
in your face defense and solid offense and amazing courage inside against much bigger players. inspirational

you see one in NCAA tourney and you do what's necessary to get him.

and Sloan was D II.
so scouting lower division and euros.

They don't even need to be super talented, just well respected, like Rondo.

Cade (When he is pissed)
Jalen Green (Maybe)
Jalen Suggs
Scottie Barnes
Cam Thomas
Ayo
Keon Johnson

Just to name a few prospects in this draft that you can see the killer instinct

Zion will be this guy sooner than you think from what he's shown me, and personally, I want my super star to be the alpha, not some other random roster spot that is filled by someone partly because they're an alpha.

It's not like AD who is beta to the core, Zion is going to have a LeBron-like chokehold on whatever franchise he's playing for if this keeps up.

What I don't understand is how the head coach doesn't go up to him and tell him straight up that your the guy, be the guy. Then immediately after go up to BI and say, hey man, you aint the guy.

You don't want to draft a young guy to come in and be the alpha, Zion needs to develop into that.

You can already tell that he is constantly pissed whenever they lose and/or when he is taken out late in the game. The walrus needs to tell him straight up to be the guy. Plain and simple. At least thats what I would do. But also in order to be the guy, I don't think he should be taking plays off on defense or going for rebounds. So maybe fix that first lol

That’s a smart thing to tell the 22 year old you just gave a max to.

That's what he needs, but not having even played a full season of games yet, he may not feel like he should have that voice right now.

Hearing it from a coach, and hearing it from another player, especially one that is respected, carries 2 different types of weight with players.

Of course put it more eloquently lol. And yeah if you are worried about hurting feelings because he makes 30 million a year then maybe coaching aint right for you. Also, it would be different if BI was a very vocal outgoing leader but he isn't so it shouldnt be that tough

Yeah that makes since but with this team it seems different. Nobody seems to be very outgoing or vocal about leading. So it shouldn't be crazy or difficult. It would be different if someone was already trying to lead in that role

It could also be something simple like, I don't know, just putting the ball in his hands to close games. Since he is your most efficient scorer of the basketball lol

Zion will be that guy, once he becomes a better defender.

Zion can't be that guy when he stands around clueless and lets little Dame Lillard get a key offensive rebound right in front of him.

But Zion's defense is improving. He'll get there.

Yep, Zion is going to be the unquestioned leader in the next couple seasons. Ingram 1B. We don't have to have a Westbrook. We could maybe do with one or two pitbull personalities, to keep an edge and intensity, but that can just as easily be a Bowen type as opposed to a Westbrook.

People think you need some CP3 or Westbrook but plenty of teams have won a lot of games with a leader more like Duncan, Lowry, Conley, Curry, or Dirk.

And frankly, those are the types of personalities and the cultures they foster that have a better chance of sticking around in smaller markets.

You need someone to create something out of nothing in crunch time.

Zion can't do that now because he is allowed to be mauled when he's just handling the ball. If the refs ever start calling fouls fairly for Zion, he's the unstoppable force you're looking for.

Ingram can get his own shot when ever he wants it but has so far wilted under the pressure of crunch time. But getting a good shot off is a big component so you can't rule him out as an answer yet.

Kira has shown elite, defense bending speed. He might be able to hit his own shots off of that, but I'd look for him to use it to set up Zion and Ingram.

In a few more years those 3 should be all you need at the end of games to break most defenses.

Bi will always be a number 2.

I think zion will eventually be that guy the more comfortable he gets.

We do need an alpha point guard. I've been saying this. You need someone to tell ingram and zion what to do.

Cp3 would've been perfect.
