Speaking of shortsighted thinking.... you all realize there is a good chance you will have a top 3 pick next year. The Bucks will be atrocious.
There will be more ways to shape this team at the deadline. You can move Poole as an expiring. DJM and Zion's values should be higher.

Reading this thread it’s fascinating how half the fanbase is so retarded

The new lottery rules don’t reward atrociousness, just incompetence.

Paul George to LAC?
You think they traded him b/c his value was really high and they tried to capitalize on that?
He asked to be traded.
Again, give me a specific example of a team trading away a player of Treys caliber, who didn’t ask to be traded, for the sole purpose of maximizing a return of assets.

Nets trading Mikal Bridges to Knicks
Bane to the Magic
Gobert to TWolves ?

The Nets were always going to do that. They were a terrible team that had zero playoff aspirations.
Do you view us like the 2024 Nets, who’s best player was Bridges and had zero young prospects outside of Cam Thomas, who no one seemed to want.
They had no Zion, or Fears, or Queen, or even a Murray.

Bane to the Magic
First step of them saying we are giving up and going in a new direction.

Gobert to TWolves
He sucked arse in the playoffs. He and Mitchell didn’t get along.
You see the pattern? These trades signified “we give up and are going in a new direction”.
If we trade Trey, then Herb and Zion need to be next.

So you have excuses for any and every example that fits your description?

I think Nic Claxton and Cam Johnson had similar or even more value back then than Murray and Zion right now.
Bane was traded at the beginning of the season, but the sell off didn’t happen until the trade deadline months later. Not out the realm of possibilities trading Trey is a precursor to trading guys like Herb, Murray and Zion at this years deadline.

I think you’re using a bit of hindsight to help fit your narrative. Again, trading Trey could signify a new direction for us, but it won’t materialize until closer to the trade deadline or beginning of next season.

Agree with you 1000%. We just don’t know when those trades will happen.
