Now that Bledsoe’s gone? Yes.

It appears that is the plan they are going forward with

Let’s hope not. I like Zion running point as a different look but his handle is nowhere near good enough to be PG all the time. I think Graham is going to be a very good player for us now that he’s not blocked by LaMelo.

If Zion is going to be the next big thing then he will have to learn how to handle the ball well enough to be the best point guard on the team.

Yeah I think point Zion is situational. One underrated thing about the addition of Graham is that he can replace Lonzo’s shooting numbers while also being a full time ball handler, giving us another shooting threat rather than trotting out Lonzo/Bledsoe

Graham and Kira are legitimate point guards. I’m comfortable having Graham run the show.

Point Zion should be used more strategically rather than making it a full time effort. Sort of like when Golden State deployed their Death lineup.

Graham is a scoring guard with awareness. His gravity on the basketball floor is much different than Lonzo, while some may argue they post similar stats. If we give Devonte’ 30 mpg he’ll get you 22 & 8 today.

Devonte’ is going to show out playing next to Zion and BI in a way Zo never could. He’s going to make the proper decisions to close games. His style of play will also bring more creativity to our offense.

The way Giannis and the Bucks just won proves Point Zion should be situational.

Giannis and Zion are infinitely more dangerous if they are attacking the basket from all angles, not just from the point position.

It becomes easy to defend if you just run Point Zion into a wall of defenders all game. The wall defense becomes easier to perfect over the course of one game, let alone an entire playoff series.

To me it really depends on how or if Zion can grow his game.

If he can develop a little mid ranger, floater, or pull up jumper, he can play a more full time role for sure.

If he is going to continue playing the majority of his possessions within 5 feet of the basket, he's gonna need complimentary ball handlers that set him up in the pick and roll, off cuts, and other actions.

I don't think Giannis is ultimately going to be what Zion is though.

I think Zion has already shown a better development trajectory with his jumper.

You are who you guard. Zion cannot defend a small guard. We can run the offense through him. But you still need a quick guy that can defend the Chris Pauls and Damian Lillards or the world.

I would have loved to get someone like Beverly in here to defend and mentor Lewis.

Garret Temple is going to be great as a mentor for some of our guys. I love having him on the team. I’m just not a fan of point Zion. Put him in the positions he can best succeed and let someone else handle the ball.

I know it is just a phrase. But it does irk me too. He snowbirds and is charging back half the time. He isn't breaking a press with his dribble or crossing over quicker guards. Being a great passer and unselfish is a wonderful quality. But I am sure they realize the limitations..

It's gonna be zion and bi running pg, all Graham has to do is hit open 3s, x factor in all this is naw, if countines to improve his decision making and knock down open 3s he can run pg when they are on bench

If Graham has the instincts for it, he has the potential to be a thing if we adapt D’Antoni’s offensive principles. Same with NAW I guess, but he’s a ways away.

Need one more shooter - a Lauri perhaps.

PnR with Zion playing the 5 in stretches. Hello gravity

No. Devonte is an excellent passer and has an above average P&R game.

Zion's gravity with the ball and going downhill causes so much defensive attention but Graham is the best pure point on the team.

Yeah Zion’s point ceiling may land somewhere between Lebron and Giannis before all is said and done. We are still in the infancy stages of figuring out what he can and can’t do at this point.

What’s the need for this if Zion can get to the basket so easily

- His efficiency does drop and turnovers go up when teams can build a wall and key in on his driving.

- And when teams do successfully build those walls and drop his efficiency, it would be nice to have counter moves, no?

- Our offense becomes predictable

- Adding those wrinkles makes his driving game more effective because defenders have to account for multiple scoring actions

- It helps preserve his body and energy.

- Can use his added gravity and added chaos to help create lanes and opportunities for others. Making him a better point guard than just driving and kicking, which defenders can key in on as well.

Zion doesn’t have to turn into Steph Curry, or even Blake Griffin, but having some additional tools in his arsenal like a pull up jumper, a floater, and better 3 point efficiency will just make him and the team around him better.
