Is there anything about Zion that has exceeded your expectations these last 5 years?

It seems like anything positive that we can say about him these days is aided by the fact that we're just happy that he has largely been healthy this season.

Zion misses a game and we look like absolute crap against a good team. Lets shite on Zion and how he isn’t good. Great timing!

Yeah, kinda a theme.

A big reason why we aren't where we want to be as a team is because this roster is built around Zion, who misses a lot of time, and because he misses a lot of time it has drastically stunted his development in becoming the superstar that he was supposed to be by now.

Keep knighting Chet. He has missed 1 full season of his one and a half. He’s asked to score 15ppg. Lets let Zion miss more than a game before you start bitching. How about not bitching about how bad Zion is right after the game that just proved how painfully obvious it is that this team desperately needs him to compete?

Just no reason to address stupidity in two threads.

When expectations were/are as high as they are for a player, it’s almost impossible for him to exceed them. He reminds me a lot of Reggie Bush as a Saint in that aspect.

I don’t think anyone expected his touch around the rim to be as good as it is. He really has always had it since rookie year.

Unfortunately, the lack of defense and health has overshadowed it.

His playmaking. Easily.

And I'm glad he added a right hand, which everyone seems to keep forgetting.

He can get better. And he probably will if he can stay right.

He has a nice shot too, I guess he’s just not comfortable using it yet during games for whatever reason. I watched him warming up before the Jazz game and he made 6 in a row hitting nothing but net. Of course they were uncontested, but defenses probably wouldn’t contest them either for fear of getting blown by and posterized.

I always thought it would go one of two ways with him.

One, he would grow a bit taller, lose some baby fat, them become an Amare Stoudemire style big (semi stretch 5).

Or he would lean out and gravitate more to the perimeter, become a power wing. A more skilled Shawn Marion.

I never expected him to fight so hard against all conventional wisdom to attempt to become a bodybuilder that moonlights as a basketball player. It's an odd progression..

only that everyone knows he is going left, and he finds different angles to still make the off the glass shots.
