Erman is fricking terrible. Get rid of him too. Only coach that should stay is Finch.

I know how it could work out.

Ready?

Win every other game from here on out. Win the WCF and win the championship.

I bet you might have a chance to keep him then.

That’d make a great 30 for 30

Beal for Holiday is a great trade for both teams.
A small trade for Sacramento's PF Skal would help. It also gives the team flexibility to trade Randle.

Demps is probably looking at GSW and thinking Niko and a 1st can get him Demarcus Cousins.

Beal is the only real difference maker I can think of. Charlotte isn't coming off of Kemba now.

And I wouldn't want to give up Jrue for Beal, that kind of defeats the purpose. It's a guard/wing league. Give up Niko/Randle and whatever else you need too.

Kemba Walker or John Wall. AD isn't going for Hood or Bazemore to change the balance of power in the west.

Realistically? It’s pretty much done.

If you do a Hail Mary by the trade deadline, you may be able to get a point capable of running things for the rest of the season. If you go on enough of a tear, you get a high seed.

This is highly unlikely simply because the West is so stacked it is fricking ridiculous. We’re 14th of 15 and yet we are only a few games out from a decent seed.

Mostly agree, though I think there is immediately a question of whether a Beal/Jrue front court can work offensively.

And the roster is still stuck with a major hole at the three.

But Jrue/Beal/AD is certainly a core you can work with.

Yeah, I'm going out on a limb and hoping that Beal can play SF because he's 6'8", which isn't always the way it works.

Beal can defend SFs and so can Jrue. You don’t have to be 6’8”. Jrue is 4” shorter than Otto porter but he defends the SF better than him.

Like with Jrue I feel like you don't want your team to be relying on 6'4, 6'5 guards to be consistently guarding SF's. Especially come the 7 game series.

What is great about Beal and Jrue though is both can essentially switch onto three positions though. You don't want Beal guarding KD or Lebron all game, but you arent going to get abused if you the switch happens like it would with smaller guards. Or most back courts.

The question to me is can an offense built around Jrue/Beal as your two primary ball handlers work? If so there are a lot of ways to make that core work. Jrue/Beal/Hill/Niko/AD is a pretty stout lineup without many deficiencies....Assuming Beal/Jrue/AD can replicate what the Nuggets do in facilitating the offense without a true point guard(and we do have the guy that built that O to do it).

John Wall is “considering surgery” on his left heel, which would keep him out for 6-8 months, per

Woj says he’s elected to have the surgery and his season is over.

I wonder if this is the final straw that makes them blow it up now and aggressively shop Porter and listen to offers for Beal.

If you were considering trading Beal and/or Porter before, you’d certainly do it now. Wizards have their first round pick and currently have the 7th worst record in the league. They’re five games out of the worst record in the league. If Wall is going to miss the season, I’d trade away anyone who is going to win me games and hope to win the Zion sweepstakes.
