And Luka really doesn’t whine and complain much anymore. I think he has like 1 technical in his last 35 games and it’s because he was legitimately tackled on a halfcourt heave.
Jokic is far more of a complainer if you actually watch him play a full game.
Luka is a joy to watch compared to 95% of the league skill wise and demeanor wise.
Dude battled through injuries tonight. And was smiling after damn near every good or bad play. He also randomly helped Naji Marshall up after one of his hard falls when the rest of the Pelicans had already gotten back on defense. Not sure what more you can ask for from a top 3 player in the league.

TBH these days, I have a hard time faulting it.
Just look at Zion, or Jrue before him, BI as well.
All three basically embody what fans consider to be the “right way” to carry yourself in-game. They don’t flop, dont flail, don’t exaggerate to sell, don’t throw hissy fits, rarely even complain, and what does it get them? Absolutely disrespected and ignored by the refs.

People talk about Zion/Wembanyama/Giannis as genetic freaks, but every season Luka comes back from the off-season looking like he went on a 3 month bender consisting of nothing but IPA’s and fried Potato Skins and then walks into the regular season dropping 35-8-8 on half a leg like it’s nothing

Luka will end up being the first athlete to be diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and score a triple-double on the same night….and somehow have beaten diabetes by the end of the season despite still replacing his water bottles with sweet tea….

Luka is def my favorite player (being from Dallas) but I can see why he is hated. He is also highly respected. I love when people who don’t watch him play often are like “how does that slow fat euro score 50? He’s unguardable at times!”

Luka is probably just salty that he is a top 3 player that drug his team to the conference finals and somehow, Christain Wood is the second best player on his team this year. If the Mavs had a competent scouting department, he would have a championship already instead of wasting away in Dallas.
