Is Jrue 3 first round picks and 2 swaps better than Bledsoe?

I think that's the question you need to ask yourself. Yes, there's a chance the Mil picks end up late 1sts. However, considering how they're several years down the road, there's a good chance they are much better.
Even if they aren't, getting anything for Jrue is a win. He was going to leave after this year.
We've seen he's not the difference between making the playoffs and not.
Even if we don't deal Bledsoe, is the team really much worse? You could argue that Bledsoe and Hill alone are equal to Jrue.
Jrue is very overrated. Bledsoe actually has a higher career per than Jrue. You can twist stats how you want, but the only reason Jrue is seen as better is because of Bledsoe's playoff shortcomings.
I get that. He probably isn't the longterm answer. But who cares? With Jrue we can't even make the playoffs much less suck in them.
I give this trade an A with a chance to be A++++.

I will be surprised if there is a big difference in the contribution that Bledsoe gives this team, versus the contribution that Jrue gave this team.
It's not like we were a winning team with Jrue.
So, basically no change in the outlook of the team this season but you add 3 picks and potentially 5? I think it's a good swap.

I’m shocked they traded Bledsoe

No indeed not. They are similar players. Jrue is better but he is also getting paid more. So we can improve in another area of the team and still trade Hill for yet another asset. No doubt we robbed a desperate team, while our teams overall ability did not lose much if any.

I hope we move Alonzo. He brings more negatives than positives. Too many unforced turnovers due to wrecklessness, bad decisions and other negative plays in addition to not being able to bury FTs to close games.

Your premise of getting anything for jrue is wrong
Everyone wanted jrue.
I really believe the report about 10 teams wanting him
People are discounting how good jrue can be on a team if he can just be jrue

It's a season ending injury to Giannis away from being a lottery pick...boom at best, average at worst.

I believe the ten teams, I also believe anyone that says Jrue has never been allowed to be Jrue is misjudging him.
Pels have let and accommodated every hat Jrue has wanted to try on. And the hat that seems to suit him best is as a defense-first third option that can be a team's second or third primary ball-handler, playing a lot off ball like a SG to get into a rhythm and focusing on cuts and quick slashes off movement in the half-court led by another lead guard.
I honestly feel a bit bad, as I said yesterday because I don't think Mil is a great fit for him(and I want him to succeed even though the Pels succeeding comes first), and certainly isn't the setup that will just let Jrue be Jrue.
The guy is poised to run into some of the same problems he did here, I.E. being asked to be a primary half-court ball handler in critical junctures and create off the dribble on the perimeter. Which is where he has historically struggled. And I do wonder if the underrated moniker might come crashing down if Milwaukee loses some critical games because Jrue is being asked to operate in that capacity and has one of his crippling turnovers or miscues, or gets the yips from the FT line as he did in the clutch last season.
