I think it’s obvious that Zion and Ingram don’t fit together. We need a true PG, a rim running defensive presence at C, and can never have enough shooters.
Is any of this achievable?
Can he bring any trade value?

BI can prob get you KAT or Trae.

BI can DEF get you JA or Mobley.

Trading BI solves a lot of issues.

He just doesn’t fit with Zion, or with how the game is played, with refusal to shoot 3

An issue that's never really discussed is, are BI and Zion maximized by different styles of coaches? Zion seemed to do fine under SVG, it was one of his healthier and more productive years. Reports from the exit interviews were that everyone was unhappy that season, but BI was the most unhappy. Stan gets fired soon after and we've seen BI going to playoff games with Willie multiple years.

I'm not saying bring back SVG, but do you need to trade BI to get the right coach for Zion? Even if you fire Willie, his replacement options could be limited by this.

KAT is going to turn into Cousins before long. Don’t want Trae, he’s not a winning player.

I'd go to ATL and see if i can move BI and Larry for Dejounte and Okongwu. Move CJ to 6th man where he'll still get 30+ mpg and shouldn't see a drop off in shots.

Start Dejounte, Herb, Trey, Zion, Okongwu

Jose, CJ, Hawk, Dyson as the first guys off the bench

the 10Char answer is simply YES

The contextual answer is you have to choose one. If you choose BI, you keep Willie. If you choose Zion, you get rid of BI and WIllie.

My personal preference is getting rid of Griff, Willie, and BI.

Previous four games proved to me that Trey can be Zion's true running mate when given the time and volume.

You take the core of Zion Trey Herb and maximize that value with a coach that can actually coach.

Hurley is the hot name right now, we will see as this week progresses. The thing you absolutely cannot do is nothing.

I'd definitely see if there is any way I can get Donovan Mitchell and Mobley from Cleveland.

Both's values are at lows for them.

I believe if make the playoffs and we do somewhat decent in it you keep Willie, but explore trade around BI and Nance.

I think there's absolutely no reason to extend Willie Green.

We need to trade BI for parts to flow with Z and move on from Willie. The Pelicans have NO identity. Z is the alpha on this team and it's not even close. Z has more gravity and opens the floor more. This will not be consistent if BI is around and Willie continues to accomodate him first above Z. We know BI won't take a secondary role so move him.

His scrawny arse took an average team to the Eastern Conference Finals.
He averaged 29 and 10 in the playoffs while no one else on his team averaged more than 15.

Let me know when Zion or BI does that.

Not a winner my arse.
You can’t even name who the second best player for the Hawks has been in any year over the last 4 years and if you think you can whoever you come up with should never be the second best player on any decent team. He’s surrounded by trash and the few guys who are good are always hurt.

I’d take Trae Young in a heartbeat, but he without a doubt would not be able to share the court with CJ. The defense would be too bad. But shite I’d be willing to give it a shot. Of course this assumes we’d actually run pick and rolls with Trae and Zion, which might not actually happen much at all and we’ll still be a mediocre team.

Dejounte Murray?

Is that a question?

Yes we all know Murray is good. But what a stupid trade to bring in a guy that plays the same position as your star player. We are all shocked they don’t play well together.

As irritated I am with the Pelicans organization, the Hawks are even dumber.

People keep bring up Mobley, and I get why, but Zach Lowe said just last week that from what he’s hearing, of the “big 4” in Cleveland (Garland, Mobley, Allen, Mitchell) Mobley is the least likely to be traded by Cleveland. If Mitchell forces his way out, then it probably makes it even less likely Mobley gets traded.

Now hopefully that changes. Maybe Mitchell says he’ll stick around if they make a real upgrade and need Mobley to do it. Or maybe they make the ECF without Mobley playing well and they think they need to move him to make the final push. Or maybe CLE just flames out so badly that they make a panic move. But as of right now, they still really value him and believe he’s the future.
