Honestly, when I think more and more about what Griffin wants out of a head coach, I am less and less convinced he would want Kidd.

Kidd is a strong personality, has had some issues with upper management, and has a bit of a reputation as being selfish. All things Griffin seems to not want as he establishes himself as the primary figure of this organization, for better or worse.

I have my skepticism about Griffin’s ability to pick coaches given his track record, but Kidd would honestly shock me the more i think about it.

Dan Craig, or someone in that career mold, honestly makes the most sense as I think about it(young assistant brought up in and with a respect for a fairly hands on front office but has demonstrated a lot of growth and acumen, including success with the G-league championship).

Of course unlike Chicago, there haven’t been any reports we have sought or been allowed to talk to him. So maybe I’m way off.

I know one thing,its to dam quiet for me, i check Pelicans Talk, Pelicansreport, and all other sites everyday hoping to hear some news,but so for nothing.

Griffin said it was going to be awhile. And he is being true to his word.

He basically said it was two weeks before it would even start. We are currently at that point.

I wonder if he thought certain teams would be out of the bubble in 2 weeks...and they aren’t.
