We will see, but I don't see it happening. I think if they are going to fire him it will be ASB or after the season

Disagree.

Look at the Kings. Look at the shite stain Saints.

Teams with unpopular or coaches they've checked out on always have a temporary bump post firing. It happens all the time in college too - when a coach leaves or is fired and the interim wins the bowl game and gets carried off the field.

I promise this team would win more games with Borrego at this point. they'd win more with Stan Van Gundy as hated as he was.

shite, T-Spoon could get these guys to play harder at this point.

Will it last? Absolutely not. But it could be just enough to frick up our lottery odds and will mean absolutely jack shite just like Rizzi's bullshite wins fricked the Saints from top 5 to 9.

Problem with this is I dont think we want to be in slots 1 or 2 going INTO the lottery. They haven't faired well at all...

This is what I’m afraid of.

This isn't the NFL draft
Being 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 makes very little difference.

It will be interesting to see what the Blazers do. They have talent to win games, like us, and if their young guys keep playing they'll win a decent amount.
Wizards/Toronto/Hornets are all finishing bottom 5, and i wouldnt' be surprised if Markannen isnt' playing much later in the season for the Jazz to guarantee a bottom 5 for them too.

The Nets somehow win games, but they are trying their hardest not too, and i'm sure they'll try even harder not to as the season goes on.

We are goign to be bottom 7. Of course i'd rather 5th or better than 7th, but we've got more talent than the 6 other bottom teams and it will be harder to purposely lose if we are healthy.

I just can't stand the way the team is playing. They have to let Willie go. We can still lose game and be competitive and rest guys when needed. My only hope is that they are discussing Griff's future as well and don't want him making major decisions for this team anymore, b/c finding a new GM is more important than hiring a new coach before next season starts, imo.

Good lord, if he isnt fired today, they should fire literally everyone who is involved in that decision.

Summed up real good there Teddy.

Personally if we miss out on a top 3 DP, but get something like #5 im trying to see how much the Suns really love Devin Booker

Finishing lower in the standings guarantees you a higher floor in the draft. You absolutely want to finish lower. I know we will all dream about a top two pick. But picking 5th in a strong draft is way better than ten.

What’s the gain if we fire him in season? We may win a few games with the interim HC bump but we will lose out on our chances to secure a top 3 pick.

I say keep the tank rolling until the end of the season where we blow everything up.

That is more superstition. You play the odds. I want to be somewhere in the top 3 for best odds.

I don't think it's magic, I just think Willie is worth five less wins for the average team. You replace Willie with a decent coach, the team would likely win a few more games along the way.

and i'm telling you that's goign to be really hard for us to accomplish if we are healthy, even if we trade BI and/or CJ right now.
Zion/Murray/Trey are much more than what any of the other bottom 6 teams have, by a lot.

The only way we can keep up with the bottom teams is if we trade BI now, and have at least 2 of CJ/Zion/Murray/Trey out for every game.
If all 4 of those guys are playing, as well as Herb and Jose, we are going to win more games than the other bottom teams.

Nobody said it would be hard or easy. I was just replying to the post.

Miss Gayle was at the game last night and heard all the booing going on.

I would take the booing if I knew keeping Willie would significantly increase my chances of getting a top 3 pick.

Be patient and endure the suck for the rest of year. I promise you it will be worth it during the offseason when Willie is gone and we have a chance to draft a potential franchise player.
