that’s the hammer on the head right here. When I see him with the ball and the game on the line , I know we are screwed

The real question is what are the repercussions of this especially in regards to BIs reaction? The way he reacted makes me even more apprehensive in giving him a deal.

Maybe Willie’s best decision ever. Imagine giving BI 50m/yr and then finding out he’s this big of a bitch. Know we have this knowledge prior to negotiations

The fact CJ changed his game and BI didnt was the biggest indicator. CJ is about the team and wants to win. BI only cares about winning if hes the star.

Exactly why I can live with CJ for another year or two. Yeah he crumbles under pressure too, but he’s at least willing to do whatever is best for the team. We closed without CJ a couple times this year and there was no pouting or storming out the arena. The team told him we needed more 3s and less midrange shots from him this year and guess what? That’s exactly what we got. How many years is it now that the team has been asking BI to shoot more? 3 or 4? I lost count

tell jose and cj and trey among other to go win this mother fricker.

CJ is absolute garbage when he's not hitting 3's. The damn near same could be said about Murphy. I understand this is a hate on BI thread, but let's not get carried away here with acting like these other guys are the answer. I left Jose out on purpose. I really find it hard to dislike that little fricker.

I think they are clearly a better answer and option than BI, especially at the cost. They fit exactly what this team needs for Zion to lead. Bi offers no spacing and is an offense killer. He offers absolutely nothing unless his contested 20 footer is dropping. It’s bad offense

Well sure, but he was also the best 3pt shooter in the NBA this season, so...

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a passive Beta with that kind of inflated ego.

The counter to that is we are damn near unbeatable when those two are hitting 3's. They are the only 2 high volume perimeter shooters we have until Hawkins develops. They account for 40% of our 3's made.

CJ's defense hurts a lot more when his shots aren't falling and it can be painful when he has to be the offensive engine without playing off Zion or Ingram. We probably need to replace CJ, but finding another high volume 3 pt shooter who fits better (more efficient on 2's, can get to the rim, better defense...etc.) is not easy.

Ive been saying that we need to diversify our 3s. Having only CJ and Trey to take and make 90% of our 3s makes us easier to guard.

If BI wasnt such a pussy he could help here but alas he is. Move BI, start Trey and play Hawkins a lot more off the bench. That gives us 3 high volume shooters between trey, CJ and Hawkins.

Man if we only had a movement shooter (Hawkins) or maybe a dead eye shooter with a quick release(Ryan), we could implement in this offense.

I feel we have so much untapped talent on this team not utilized properly because of Willie.
