How many years do you think it will take davis to be top player on our team and top 10 in league?
Also, do you thin rivers will ever be a top 3 player on our team?

Late next season he will be elite.

I don't think he'll ever be a top ten player in the League.
He'll be a perennial All-Star and is already the second best player on the roster behind Gordon.

You think he means more to the team than anderson?

Anderson is a better scorer/shooter, but Davis is the better all around player.

yes he will

Davis is already trending towards being a top 10 player. He could be there as soon as next year but year 3 is more than likely.
Everyone defines top 10 differently.

Excellent point

Hard for a guy who doesn't really create his own shot to be top 10 in the league. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

So big men can't be top 10 players? Da fuq?

Dwight Howard is (was?) a top 10 player, yes? He doesn't really create his own shot other than catching alley oops, put backs, and the occasional running hook.
Howard averaged 12/10/2 his rookie year (age 19)
Davis is already at 15/9/2 with similar fg% and a way better Ft%
Davis can actually shoot, too. His offensive game can become a mix of Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard if all goes right.
Tim Duncan, Garnett were top 10 guys and many project Davis similarly. shite Duncan could still be a top 10 guy.
Like I said top 10 lists are so arbitrary. Those lists are often dominated by wing players and not bigs. Kobe, Wade, Melo, LBJ, Durant, CP3, Westbrook, Howard, Deron Williams, Rose, Dirk... Those names have been the consensus best players in the league over the past few years. Only 1 real "big"

Nah, I consider guys with dominant post moves to be creating their own shot. Dwight Howard has reliable post moves.

Lol. What reliable post moves did Dwight have early in his career?

Who knows for sure, but I think he certainly has legitimate potential to be one.
And I suppose it does depend on what you mean by top ten player. Natural ability/athleticism? Statistics? Value to team? Domination of opponents? What combination of those factors?

Once he gains more muscle and Monty develops offensive plays for him I think he will be fine.

The way he affects games with his length is remarkable. He will be a great player as he matures, and he is already a very good one.

Literally my first time on the Hornets Board and I read this gem.
