I don't know. I think with the money we'll have available Granger could be locked up long-term
By that point do we want him long term? He will be 30+. I don't want to give a big contract to someone that old who has a history of injuries and is over 30

I like PG but we need a legitimate scoring option in our lineup. I still think this will blow over (yes, I'm naive) after Dell and Monty sit down with EG. I think they have already made up their minds that they will match and I think they'll do everything they can to make him want to be here. Also, winning cures everything. He may be being a bitch but as a competitor, you want to win.

He'll be 31. We can extend him 3 more years at a reasonable price I would think. In the meantime we can draft a 3 and develop him.

Obviously I don't have the specifics worked out, but I'm just saying he's a solid guy to have since Benson claims he wants to "win now."

No one is trading a 23 year old Eric Gordon for Granger.

Paul George would be a prerequisite.

The Pacers are close to bringing in OJ Mayo, so this discussion may not get far if Demps doesn't talk with them soon.

Wouldn't Hibbert or DW have to be included in any trade to match up salaries?

I'd like to get Hibbert to match up with Davis. That's the start to a solid team moving into the future.

Jack
Rivers
?
Davis
Hibbert

I don't think OJ Mayo would have much effect on the situation. He'd be their 3rd or 4th guard. Gordon would be their first.

Hibbert agreed to a max deal offer sheet with Portland. Hence the reason why I think Gordon to Indy would be a good move for us since they have a need for some punch.

I don't think trade exceptions can be coupled with players in trades. Looks like a EG for George trade would be difficult unless Indy lets Hibbert walk, in which case they should be far enough under the cap to take on EG without going over.

Indiana could trade for Gordon in a S & T and then match Hibbert's offer sheet.

Dahntay Jones, George and Collison combine nearly make 8 million.

According to some sites a S&T is not allowed after a player signs an offer with another team. Must say with Hornet at least 1 year.

1. If he signs and we match, Gordon can't be traded to Phoenix by us, period.

2. If we match, he has veto power over first-year and last-year trades.
