Sure, though only a few rookies are contributing every year as it is. My point was only that there is a big gap in the top 5 as far as rookie impact goes. Like Ausar Thompson is in the top 5 currently, he’s coming off 9 and 12 minute games where he scored two points

There were threads on here calling for Hawkins to be in ROY contention, I just want to make sure we aren’t getting crazy here

How much of this stuff has come off the bench in garbage minutes when they’re getting blown out?

You never brought up Scoot before that and or now focusing on a small sample size. I wonder why.

Hasn't Scoot started to figure it out and play well?

This whole hes younger so he’ll automatically get better argument needs to stop.

Could he potentially get better as he gets older? Sure.

Is that a certainty? Absolutely not.

I give you Kira Lewis and several other top prospects that never got better as a prime example.

Do you just make up bullshite arguments and proceed to argue straw men in every thread? It’s gotta be tiring but it appears you have the time

talking about any player being a bust or a bad pick 30 games into their career is stupid. I will say tho the gleague seems like a complete failure from a developmental standpoint. idk if any of these guys have come out playing well so far

b/c there's no developement happening there. It's just AAU basketball continued. No defense, just trying to pad stats to look good on paper.

You'd be much better off going to college for a year and having a real coach, taking bs classes, and getting with college chicks who you don't even have to work for to get.

Do you get annoyed when someone responds to your bullshite posts and differs with your take on something?

Its gotta be tiring posting bullshite and expecting everyone to agree with you but appears you have the time.

Except most elite players 30 games into their career show some signs of elite play.

No one is saying Scoot is a bust right now, but taking the past few games of marginal improvement proving hes turned the corner while he makes no impact on winning is a silly take.

Don't think he's gonna be elite, but his growth is going to mirror Jalen suggs.

Hes a gifted athlete who has a solid shooting stroke. It's the finishing, pick and choosing good/bad shots, and decision making that's gonna show if he's gonna be a decade player or not.

But I ask you if someone told you Scoot Henderson would mirror Jalen Suggs. Do you think he would be worthy being picked third overall?

By the way I agree with you. Currently, I think Scoot is more Suggs than a franchise type pg like westbrook/morant which I honestly thought during the draft he would be. I thought he would be more in line as a franchise type point guard. I was wrong.

You’re going to see less going to the G now that the NIL has been established. Scoots of the world will be getting millions in the NCAA

westbrooks numbers his rookie year aren't too far off from scoots. scoot still has 50 games to improve and adjust

in fact Westbrook was worse in his first 21 games than scoot. Westbrook was shooting roughly 34% from the field and 24% from 3

Yea I mean I'm not/wasn't arguing he needed to be ROY. Just something to show that he was playing really well. A few games before he got benched Sports Illustrated or CBS Sports had a "Rank the Current NBA Rookie Seasons So Far" type list and Hawkins was 3. THREE!! Our boy was playing really good basketball and our best 3 point shooter, I don't care how bad his defense was (definitely wasn't the worst). He is a guy that should be getting minutes on an NBA team, not in a glorified AAU league. Especially one that needs 3 point shooting as bad as we do. I'd almost argue that the G League would hurt his defensive development.

Unless this is a move to get him into shooting form so he can be thrown back into the lineup, I think it's a bad move. Maybe that's what they're doing, almost some warmup games, but I don't think it is.

I’m not going to disagree with you on the comparison of stats between the two during their rookie year- I would point out that westbrook never played point guard in college and the Thunder immediately put him in that role- it was a huge learning curve. Westbrook was a very solid rebounder as well butmost of all even in his rookie year showed he was an ethlite athlete with elite explosiveness.

I’m just curious what does Scoot do at an elite level or has some sort of elite ability to build on?

I thought Scoot was elite athlete getting to the rim but he hasnt shown that. And if he doesn’t have that with his size- I just don’t see him becoming this franchise guard.
