Team really has missed BI. His playmaking lifts teammates who aren’t as adept at creating their own offense.

Herb matches better with BI than Zion. We haven't seen Herb and BI together much at all this year.

I agree, not saying they are done growing either.

Maybe these games will help them push forward in developing.

Zion and CJ, to a certain extent, need the lane clear to operate. This limits the space available (paint) for Herb, TM3, and Val to traverse. Zion, CJ, and BI will all have to get better off-ball when the team is at full strength.

I'm more down on Trey than Herb right now.

At least Herb is consistently giving you elite level defense even when he is bricking corner 3's. When Trey is not hitting 3's/not taking 3's which is happening too often this season, he gives you next to nothing on the floor.

Herb is not at/close to max potential. he has not played 2 full seasons yet.. I get that he is older than most sophomores but his style of play is not reliant on being super quick or bouncy. 3 years from now he will be better at defense, shooting, dribbling, everything.....

I mean it could be the ol soph slump. Give them time to continue to grow.

I’m not really that worried about Trey. He shot it well in college. He’s proven he can shoot it well here too. He’s just in a slump. I think people expecting him to be more than a bench shooter will be disappointed but he’s a perfect fit for what we need coming off the bench.

Herb, I feel, has kind of reached what he might be offensively. He MIGHT improve from 3. He might not. We need him to, otherwise he’s relegated to the bench while we find a movement shooter that gives us average/above average D.
