Putting on a defensive masterclass with one eye. So old school. How many players in the NBA come back after an elbow like that?

He’s as big a reason we are winning this game as BI and Trey. It’s wild the number of defensive plays he impacts. Plus he’s got Kawhi in Angola

Love how he refused to come out of that game. He knew we had to have this game and he was tasked with shutting down Kawhi. Zion? Where are you Zion? It’s time to come back and give this team the last push they need.

He was down for so long after the elbow, I thought he had a concussion. Herb put on his big boy pants and finished the game.

Not on herb ...

And Kwahi ended up leaving the game for an elbow

Is there a better wing defender in the NBA than Herb?

He should have made all nba last year, clearly he should again this year, but if he does that complicates our future cap problems.

Zion is our only other all-nba level talent. Have to figure out a way to keep Herb.

I don’t think so. Everyone on this board wants to trade for Bridges but I just don’t think he is a better defender than Herb. Both are tough sons of bitches tho.

I considered Mikal a better wing defender than Herb last year but since Mikal has taken over the load of the offense with Nets...his defense has fallen off a bit. Still top notch but it's just impossible to maintain that type of energy usage on D AND carry the load offensively.

OG is a bad man on defense...but I think Herb has a small advantage in that I think Herb is at least top 3 in man-coverage AND maybe even more importantly...when teams just choose to "pick off" Herb & go at one of several other Pels players instead (which they WILL do come playoffs)...JMO...Herb becomes the best off-ball, help defender in the league, assuming he has no foul trouble & can be ultra aggressive with his help and passing lane coverage. If Pels can figure out a way to get "net 0" out of Herb offensively...they've got a keeper for sure.

Don't think you understand the class you have to be in to be All NBA.

You don't get All NBA status by having back to back All NBA level games.

We can debate a lot about Brandon ingram. There is no debate around whether he's an All NBA level player, every single one of us know he is not that level of a player.

He is 25 years old and gets better every season

His current trajectory is all NBA.

Jalen Mcdaniels is an amazing defender also. Tari Eason is heading into that trajectory too.

Now we are getting somewhere, who are US exactly? Because you are not speaking for the board or a number of knowledgeable basketball folk who believe he is. You should really get off your perceived narrative of how YOU would like to see the team compete.

* This is a Herb thread, isn't it? Kudos to Herb, because he has been straight balling All SEASON despite his naysayers also.

How the hell did Herb avoid Concussion Protocols last night? In the post game interview with BI and Trey, Jen brought up how well Herb played considering "he couldn't see".

Also, way to power through blindness and shut down Kawhi

You're just saying that without looking at the dudes in front of him.

Has he? He's had 2 straight years of inefficient scoring, much less efficient than he was 2 years ago. Passing a bit better.

BI is great but to be all NBA there are a few other dudes that play essentially the same spot that are clearly in front of him. To get to be all NBA he has to be better than some SF/SG combo of Luka, Lebron, Durant, Booker, Kawhi, Mitchell, Giannis, Tatum, PG to name a few.

That is not a knock on BI. This is just a really crowded field.

You think Brandon Ingram is an All NBA player?

Stop, just stop.

Go look at the dudes who got the award last season and will this season, and tell me which one Brandon Ingram is better than. Nobody will do that, because you can't. Because he's not on the level of those dudes.

Maybe I should reframe it. No one who isn't a Pels fan and super biased towards the team thinks BI is an All NBA player.

Exactly

A couple of those may play different positions but you still got guys like Markannan, Butler, Jaylen Brown too.

BI is a really good basketball player. You also can't make any logical argument he's better than 6 forwards from the names on that list.

Kd/Bron/Tatum/Brown/Markannan/Butler/Giannis/Luka/Kawhi/Booker... Show me how BI cracks that top 6

Easy, now that I guess your passing out assignments:

-KD - 34 years old
-Bron - 38 years old
-Markannan - Great year, but really stretching in this sample
-Butler - 33 years old
-Kawhi - 31 years old
-BI - 25 years old

*Little fact called ascension and descension
