You want to put an arena in Algiers? Algiers?

Yeah there is zero chance. I can understand the thinking in a complete vacuum but in reality...absolutely not

I just love that scene and couldn't miss the chance to share it. But I bet it's how many people envision a trip to Algiers for real..

The problem is that SKC doesn’t have the room to expand outwards. It needs more lower bowl seating and the club rooms are an absolute joke.
Half the offices in there currently run off of temporary HVAC systems because they did a horrible job when they enclosed the North entrance to make an atrium.
I would love something built similar to State Farm Arena, but I don’t think it’s even feasible. SKC would have to be shut down in offseason to complete projects that would take multiple years. So there would be a loss of revenue because it couldn’t host a lot of events in that time frame.

I think the State is making it clear that they will not fund a major new arena project and Gayle certainly isn't going to do it.
So she's resigned herself to the best thing she is going to get is putting lipstick on a pig.
If she can get it to a shape where it lasts the next 5-10 years (she's 78...), that's all she needs.
The Arena is a complete shithole and there is only so much they can do.

As a LA taxpayer I hope the state tells Gayle to eat shite.

Gayle doesn’t care because she can’t put her name on the building.
