Tom Benson didn't seem to be in a position/state to say anything that wasn't generic regarding the Pelicans and only spoke when he had to. Gayle Benson looks like she'll be much more vocal as owner and an advocate for the team to the city

The Saints are Tom's legacy, so she will tread lightly and stay the course with them. The Pelicans are her passion, so I expect her to be very involved with them.

The Pels are her baby. I wouldn’t be surprised if she went that route if it meant we win a championship.
Like she said, the tickets are sold. Many may not realize this but we are healthily above 10k season tickets sold. Now it’s getting people in the habit of going to the games.

She is very much involved with the Pels. As you said the Saints is Tom's team and is in good hands, but she was the driving force behind the Pels. She traveled to Portland to watch the games and sat courtside with Lauscha. Hell she even allowed herself to be photo'd/filmed in an oversized Pels hoodie.
I believe that this team taking the next step in their evolution (particularly the mental maturation of AD/Jrue) at the perfect time is so huge. Them doing it as Gayle takes control providing more hands on involvement/support will lead to much stronger support for the Pels in the city and nationally.

The Buss family owns a majority stake in the Lakers. It's a 6 way split between Dr. Buss' kids with each kid having 11%. The other owners are the AEG guy and some other rich folks.

The Walton heiress who married Stan Kroenke technically owns the Nuggets, though the son runs the team. Stan had to transfer ownership when he acquired the Rams.
Jeannie Buss controls the Lakers now and Gail Miller owns the Jazz.
