Huge game tonight. YUUUUGE

Pels win this one and they could very well be back to .500 by Wednesday with Memphis and Detroit coming up. A loss here and I don't know if they get to .500 before the trade deadline.

Matchup wise - Again, the Pelicans are playing a team that doesn't force turnovers so their offense should be fine. One area of concern will be the glass - as Portland does well on both ends. AD has been having to do it by himself lately, but tonight the Pels will have to team rebound.

As for strategy, I am a big fan of putting Jrue on CJ for the first 3 quarters. Take him out of the game and save Jrue a bit. Then, in the 4th, have him smother Lillard. Gut feeling is this game comes down to the final five minutes, but in this matchup, Jrue can get his on the offensive end. They won't struggle in the clutch tonight.

Pels 124
Blazers 120

I wish we would start Niko and have Randle come off the bench.

Randle is barely moving. Annoying as hell.

1) If MIrotic is a full go finally, why is he coming off the bench still? Goddamnit Gentry I swear. The AD/Jrue/Niko trio has been elite and it’s painfully obvious Randle doesn’t work as well as he just takes touches that would otherwise be AD because he doesn’t move the fricking basketball well.

2) Frazier Watch tonight. He typically will play well against the Blazers for some odd reason.

frick cousins, but I do wish him the best in a frick you undertone.
Looks like he’s moving well tonight. Happy he looks healthy, and he does look slim. But I hope he fricks the warriors up and they don’t win it this year.

The one thing Randle does much better than Niko is push the ball in transition off a rebound.

Frazier with a feisty little offensive board there and a couple of good defensive switches so far.

Frazier Watch - another couple of good hustle boards on the defensive end.

Someone tell Niko to freaking take the contact and the 3 FTs my god. Collins has jumped into him worse than the GSW defenders were and he did it there. Hate how poorly coached this team is. You know they’re going to call it cause they’re calling everything on the other end of the floor.

Winning the rebound war so far, impressive. Let’s hope we can keep it up. Team is looking good tonight on both sides of the ball.

He’s straight pissing me off tonight. He doesn’t normally do that. Lazy arse defense. Selfish arse offense. JFC.

I just can't understand how he can have so many mental lapses on defense.
