Ajinca
Cunningham (not sure why you listed him as a guard, dude is a forward all day)

I will guarantee that Asik plays better next year than at least 5 bigs who get paid more than him this summer
Asik might not be good, but if you think they are gonna solve the center problem in this free agent class for a decent price, you are just being unrealistic. Better to hope he comes back healthy and plays like he did post AS break in 2015

Yep, several posters have gone full retard on the anti-Asik rhetoric.

The Conley stuff is BS, but yes they would be open to Gordon on a short term deal if the price is right. He has told all the FA's the same thing- that they should explore and come back after they do to see if there is something that works for both sides

Batum and Parsons will get offers tonight. Perhaps Bazemore too

They will get an answer quickly if they are at least in the consideration process. If they aren't being considered, they will move on. If they are, those guys take priority

So what legit power forward can he guard?

Stein was just on Lebatard... thinks Conley stays, Derozan stays, Batum stays, Whiteside to Dallas, Horford to Detroit, Durant to GS

Plenty smaller power forwards.
The likes of Morris twins for sure.
We have AD for the bigger ones.

Considering he should be a bench player, is that really an appropriate question? I wouldn't want him guarding Aldridge, but you also shouldn't ask him to other than on switches or maybe for a few minutes if someone ahead of him on the depth chart is injured or in foul trouble.

If Horford went to DET that's a pretty good starting five...
Jackson, KCP, Harris, Horford, and Drummond
Marcus Morris, Stan Johnson, Baynes off the bench

After July 4 is interesting - assuming Batum resigns with the Hornets and Parsons goes to Memphis we really need to hope that Horford hasn't signed yet. Would give us a much better chance to nab him

Free Agent Rumble: Memphis not only believes it'll keep Mike Conley but might try to sign Chandler Parsons away from the Conley-chasing Mavs
So if you're a FA, what situation is more attractive to you, Memphis (assuming Conley stays) or NOLA? I'm not sure how I objectively handicap that one. As a Pels fan Memphis has looked like an aging team on the decline for a few years, but they always manage to hang in there and have had more success than the Pels.

who cares.
He's the 10th best player on the team.

It just means he or his agent knows where he stands in the market. Just like we're going after Batum and Parsons first, so will most teams. Wait for that to sort itself out and then maybe instead of 1 or 2 teams talking to you you have 4-5 in a bidding war.

Sure. It's still a problem for the Pels.
He's maybe a 3rd big (being quite generous given age, injury history, and recent performance) right now. He will be paid like a low tier 3rd big in this market. So that's a win.
Who is the 2nd big on this team?

I'd take that bet in a heartbeat.
