Lowry is such a phaggot

Pulls up for 3 as soon as he touches the ball

I would shoot three’s every time too if I played a team who’s defensive strategy was “I hope the other team misses.”

Maybe the Pels should identify better shooters

Might be a bit of a bold strategy, but perhaps stop giving a team wide open looks from three.

good players

and if you rely on superstars, make sure they are wing players and not big men

Not employ Omer Asik for lots and lots of money.

I’m pretty sure that’s all Cousins does. Keeps chunkining up 3 pointers.

He actually has a respectable percentage.

Agreed, 37%. But he’s also 6’11” with 54% inside the arc. I still don’t know why we play both our big men outside the 3 point line with no inside presence when we have the best big man pair in the league playing point forward. I’m hoping Rondo can cure that ill.

because you can't put 2 7 footers on the block in the NBA in 2017. you need to create space and open up the lane. Cousins doesn't need to camp out on the arc, but his man is usually the biggest player and best rim protector on the other team. getting that guy out in space is a good place to start for the Pels.

did you know that both Davis (79%!!!) and Cousins are converting at the rim at career high rates?

did you know that Davis is taking more shots at the rim than from the mid range for the first time since his rookie year? that he is taking the highest % of shots at the rim since his 2nd year? that he is taking significantly less long 2s than at any point in his career?

Cousins is a different issue. with him playing creator/initiator, he isnt taking as many shots at the rim as much as in years past. hopefully Rondo will help cure some of that and they can get him on the block more, especially when Davis is out of the game.

You mean thank the Rockets. The Rockets were bombing from 3 before the Warriors became good and the rest of the league started following suit.

The Warriors followed suit as well and just happened to have much better shooters to do it with.

It all started with Daryl Morey using analytics to prove what are the most efficient shots in basketball, and actually having the balls to implement it on the court when nobody else was doing it.

I do think the 3 ball has worsened the product a bit. They need to make the court bigger.

The rockets haven't won shite so who cares who it started with.

having stars on your team is the winning formula.
Stars that are capable of ensuring your offense gets quality shots in the last 4 minutes of the game, and stars that are capable of hitting big shots when needed.
That's it.
It makes no difference how you get to the last 4 minutes of the game, as long as youre within striking distance or have the lead, you need that guy that can keep the offense going when the defense finally starts giving a shite.

I’m not saying they both need to be on the block, but they don’t both need to be beyond the arc. And why do we need space? We don’t have anyone good enough to use it...except our two big guys who are 20-30” away from the rim.
