Didn't they talk about doing away with divisions?

Probably so, but as of now, the league still has divisions.

My main goal at this point is consistency.

If we win at a consistent clip, we end up in a good position whether it is first, third, fourth, or whatever.

The West is such a dogfight that all I can really ask is that we do what we need to do to execute and let everyone else’s shite play out.

and if we had just won half of our OT games, we would be in first place in the conference.

Hence, consistency.

I’d also be kicking the wheels on trades that bring a big back to us, either as an upgrade from JV as starter or to bring more minutes as backup.

I figure this is a pipe dream but trading for Myles Turner then signing him to a new deal this offseason seems like a good plan. Even if we get Wematanye in the draft, Turner’s performance this year so far would keep some value for him if/when he moves on.

Remember, team chemistry is very important.

JV and Trey have a tradition this year of eating a steak dinner at a restaurant before their game.

First place but with a big test tomorrow. Pelicans v Celtics is on the low key turning into a marquee game. Celtics appear not to have missed a beat with the coaches dismissal and no Time Lord. Pelicans gave it to the Celtics both times they played with BI and Zion healthy. Looking forward to some Duke on Duke crime and keeping the momentum going.

the West is crazy so far this year. The only 2 teams with more wins than us this year were expected to be play-in teams at best

11 WC teams having a better record than the defending champs

Lakers 3-10

The Pelicans are only one game out of first place. The Jazz seem to be coming back to earth and the Spurs have cratered down to tanking.

The Spurs have been exposed like Josh Primo?
