Love it. Will give us media attention, televised games, etc. Lopez and Vasquez are mediocre. We now have a solid arse core and can potentially compete this year. Not make a run just get some wins under our belt in the playoffs for future expierence. Looks bright!

Well say you sign Reke with no trade

Kinda up against the cap. With the S&T you are somewhat trading salaries too. So you can make more moves.

GV doesn't help the Pels with these moves. He'd have to go somewhere IMO. And Lopez is a part and not much more

So if my mind is processing this right and it could not be this opens up more possible moves

But that is clearly just my view

Vazquez is a good player but he's grossly overrated by a lot of fans who just look at his high number of assists and assume he's an all-star in the making. His defense is sub-par. Lopez isn't anything amazing. He was given every opportunity last season and didn't prove to be anything than a below average starting center or a really good backup.

According to where hes played the majority of his minutes the past 2 seasons

The Mavericks were a much better team with him of the floor at Center

Reports that Tyreke Evans has been traded to the Pelicans for Greivis Vasquez and Robin Lopez are completely false.

If the reports are true...

Maybe a guy like Ingles and a Center that I can't think of, and then Copeland for the MLE?

And then some minimum salary guys, Hasheem thabeet types.

This. I would still love to have Vasquez as a backup though.

Agree. Seems high in a S&T for a RFA. Maybe we had no plans for them anyway. However, I would have thought we could have kept one to use in a trade elsewhere.

This is a fricking amazing time to be a NOLA basketball fan, guys. I would say Pelicans fan, but this would be the only time to be a Pelicans fan.

Maybe, maybe not. I'll wait and see what happens.

He deleted it. I can assure you it was there.

Somebody on a Kings forum took a screen cap of it:

and there was also a thread on reddit about it: LINK
